"A late night oasis in what is still a comatose island of Manhattan in 2023, this supermarket is a delight to shop at and one of the few downtown locations still open overnight. With the continued pullout and closures of most of the 24 hour stores around the city, it's good to know there is still a place where I can shop at any hour (what used to be the norm and was part of the fabric of New York City). I also visit this supermarket during the day and it seems as if a new manager joined the team recently who is helpful, friendly, and brings a nice energy to the location. Granted, we're talking about a supermarket, but with the abundance of automation and negativity we're saturated with in what seems like every second of the day, it's nice to have brief positive human encounters even during what might seem as trivial as a trip to the supermarket. (No delivery apps for me thank you!) While not perfect, the selection of items at this supermarket is substantial. It's worth noting that every once in a while they offer great prices on fruit. If you keep an eye on their inventory, you'll see that every couple of weeks they somehow source high quality fruit of certain types offered at a manager's discount. During the warmer months much more, but occasionally outside of the warm months as well. All said, this is a nice location with helpful management and staff, which hearkens back to the days when we knew the people working at our neighborhood supermarket on a first name basis and could be sure they put in the effort to source the best food for the community at reasonable prices. Tip: You can also buy fresh flowers just outside the supermarket any time of day or night!"

"This location has the best florist. The arrangements always look so special with the unique palette and interesting mix of blooms. This spot has been my go to flower-shop since moving to East Village and I reckon I’ll keep coming back even if I leave the neighborhood. I hope they keep the guys working here because they truly are unparalleled artists!"
