Reviews of Natural Nails
"I regret having to leave a negative review, especially after being a loyal client of Henry’s for years, but after my visit yesterday I feel that I have to let people know about how I was treated. I usually get acrylic nails, and each time I have an old set removed, I’ve observed that Henry pries the nails off rather than soaking them off which would be the correct method. This has often left my nails raw, damaged, and stinging, but until yesterday it hadn’t been too much of a problem. Yesterday, I went in to get my acrylics removed and to get a plain gel manicure. The young woman who was helping me (who also happened to be 40 minutes late for my appointment) cut my nails down and immediately began trying to pry the acrylics off with a spare nail as Henry often does. She started with my left pinky and actually ripped a small chunk of nail out. I was so surprised by this and it stung so badly that I started crying. Nobody in the shop, including this woman, apologized to me or asked if I was okay. I allowed the woman to finish painting the other nails, to try to make the most of a bad situation, asking her to please leave the damaged nail alone. She immediately tried to put polish on this open wound and I had to pull my hand away before she could. I really doubt that this person is licensed in any way if she tried to put nail polish on a fresh cut, because it’s common sense that this just shouldn’t be done. Rather than apologize, she told me that my acrylic was too strong and that this was the reason my nail ripped open, and not because of her mistake. She charged me full price for this botched job, and I’m concerned that this business will charge others for their unsafe practices as well. I’d recommend that you exercise caution when going to this salon, and I hate to say that I can’t return after having my fingernail torn, not receiving any apology, and then having to pay full price. I thought that I was a valued regular but I guess I was wrong. It goes without saying that I won’t be able to get my pinky nail done until the missing piece grows fully out, which could take a couple months."
"If I could give zero stars for their customer service I would do not book your appointments here if you actually wanna get your nails done. Very condescending."
"AMY IS THE BEST FOR GEL FILLING SHE DID AMAZING!! The older women who did my feet was absolutely wonderful also! My new favorite salon!!!! 5 stars all the way and will be back!!!"
"Henry and Amy’s business have been doing my acrylic full sets, eyebrows, and pedi’s for over 5 years. Both Amy and Henry each have separate techniques but overall their patience is amazing. I’ve had the pleasure to have Henry and Amy do my nails for every special event from proms to weddings. The other 2-3 wonderful associates consist of pedi’s and mani’s ONLY along with eyebrows. Therefore, reading some of these reviews it’s obvious that it was their first visit and truly didn’t get the chance to know the business very well and I suggest getting to know them ! and I highly ** suggest to come with an appointment. Especially around the holidays and weekends. As again, they only have 2 nails techs. But walk ins are welcome (: I haven’t seen them turn anyone away for being 5 mins away, that’s coming from me who’s been at times 10-15 mins late and who’s also seen other customers walk in late. But I would suggest giving them a a heads up if you’re going to be a little late (: If you’re looking for artistic hand on work I suggest: Henry, he’s amazing with details. For sharp quick and efficient design nail work I suggest Amy. She’s very into gem work and I love it! So is Henry haha. They’re team is great with mani’s pedis and eyebrows . I have loved coming to them for years. I’ve visited many other places around plainfield, north Plainfield, and Duellen as well as Watchung, and they were either too expensive or my nails were inconsistent leaving some really thick or lumpy. From they’re acrylic powders to their patience . They are truly the best!"
"Today was my first time going to this spot. I had a fullset done by Amy. She is a sweetheart and did a good job on my nails. I love the way my nails came out!"
