"The other day, I went to ShopRite and met an employee, Donato. There was an issue with one of the machines, and Donato was kind, professional, and truly thoughtful. If it were up to me, I'd promote him as fast as possible—he is a model employee. ShopRite has some great workers!"

"First of all let me say I am a fan of ShopRite. They have many good to great stores but the one in Watchung is not one. This store is awful. The deli man was rude and thought it was more important to fill all the online orders before helping even one customer. The guy in front of me gave up and left. The precut stuff is not very fresh so if you want fresh you have to wait. Anyhow when he finally graced me with his attention he wasn't able to comprehend what is a thin slice. I wound up getting a fat slice, then crumbled and then on the third try and after great exasperation on his part, some thin slices. He's not doing this awful store any favors. Other observations are that they do not have the same selection of products as the other stores and the quality of the produce is not very good either. The place has had no recent investment and the slelves and cases and everything in the store needs an update. It is definitely the hand-me-downs child of ShopRite stores. But the worst is the self- checkout which doesn't allow to conveniently use your own bags without calling for help. Then it screams quite firmly if you don't place items on the checkout tray a split second after ringing the item. Honestly, I you are better off going the extra mile to ANY other ShopRite."
