"Didn't shop. But just trying to going in and not finding the entrance until I walk around to the back parking lot, tells me this business does not care about the city. To shut everything up at the front and create a dark unfriendly corner us just wrong. That shouldn't be allowed. Not patronizing this business."
"I go there all the time. Today I went there and I ordered chicken salad from the shop in the back. I had $20, $10 and 4 of $1. The salad costs under $5 so I pulled out $ and I accidently gave him $20 and $4 as if they are 5 in $1 bills. When I gave him $ I recognized that the boy acted a bit funny but I didnt know why (now I realized that he knew, he must have saw I pulled out $20 with $4 ( $24) for a salad that is under $5 but play along as if they all are in $1). So, when I checked out in the front, I realized my $20 was missing. So I told the manager and they checked the cashier to see if there was an increased $20 and there was none. They all were on his side. I lost $20 to this thief employee who probably put it in his pocket instead the cashier. I had to left a bad review due to out of frustration. I like the owner or manger but not the people who work in the back. I was furious, almost cried out of anger then I realized how poor they all are so I walked out."
"Produce are good but some of the staff very unprofessional. One time I was there a customer had problems with her groceries. When cashier told her total she use a card but declined her groceries amount was more than she had on the card. So she had take some things off now cashier was upset. Manager ask what was the problem and they started talking in Spanish. The security look at the lady and they all was talking about her and told you have to more off. So now the another worker ask what's going on now lady started crying and they told before come out shopping you need make sure you have money cover your bill. Now I get pisst couldn't believe what heard so customer I'm shopping for my mother . My mother said she had enough cover for all items. Now I'm now I ask the lady how much she short because this was embarrassing. And she said over by $40 , I told the cashier ring up the lady order. Cashier said no because she doesn't have enough money pay . Yes she do so lady told me no I'm just going put everything back. I told cashier, security, also manager that ok because I'm paying. The lady said please you don't , I told yes I'm going to little they no I understand little of Spanish. And how dare you say (they all come here and always do this hold up the lines) Well let me tell you this they don't hire African American and they talk bad about us. So after I paid for her groceries she broke down started crying. How can I ever repay. I said if you see someone else having trouble blessed next person. And the manager said that was kind of you to help ,I told her but that was so unprofessional. The way y'all talk bad about people that buying food this way you treat your customers. I never step my feet back in that store again. But I used love shopping there wouldn't had believe it until seen it full action. The service is horrible they talk bad about their customers the one's who doesn't speak Spanish. And they over charge so please pay attention to groceries bill before you."
"The best kept secret in Plainfield, NJ. Great parking lot(behind store access from Roosevelt St). Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, good lighting, smells great, nice people, good prices. It's a big store. Spanish or English. If you want to support a store that provides REAL GROCERIES to an urban community, start your shopping here. Great Pan Dulce (by check-outs) and fresh rolls(by deli) ."
"I'm giving it 2 stars because this was my 2nd time going and I really needed these peppers but they were all modeled & rotting......every single last one of them. My first experience was great because they have all the Jamaican spices I use."
