"Chris was exceptional to deal with from start to finish. He came across (and later demonstrated) that he was honest, knew his trade, and would do quality work. He did a pretty large job for us, which included both refinishing and replacement. His competency went all the way down to wood selection, where he recommended a specific mill in Indiana to get the specific look we wanted (and of course handled sourcing the materials). One thing I learned as we went through the process is that there's a lot to it, and it is as much art form as it is artisanal trade. Things like getting the color right - different stains and application methods (like wetting the wood first to optimize absorption). Or various methods to solve for imperfections in the floor / house. Chris was very patient with us as we went through the job and the end results were really exceptional.
