Reviews of Little Alley
"AVOID THIS PLACE PLEASE. If you are looking for Shanghai food, then it’s definitely NOT the place. The food we ordered in the picture are some of the most representative dishes. However, everything cannot be worse. Too much taste of MSG, salty and watery. No authentic taste of Shanghai food at all. Totally not worth the value and very disappointing. Service is also below average. Waited 15 mins for a table BUT WE HAVE A RESERVATION."
"Amazing spot for Shanghai style food, everything is delicious! The soup dumplings are amazing as well as the noodle dishes. My favorite dishes were the thinly shaved pork belly and the crispy eel."
"I was very pleased with my dinner at @littlealleynyc and left wanting to go back for more! So many goodies on the menu at this Shanghainese restaurant. The star of the meal for us was the salted egg rice cake. So delicious! The cauliflower is a common dish but it was also cooked super well. The other dishes were yummy too and there are still so many that I’d love to try next time!"
"Laid back environment with good food and interesting cocktail menu. We ordered Wound of War cocktail and it was mellow and strong which compliments the meal. For entree, we ordered 4 dishes and the food arrived so fast we were shocked. Good service and portion size. Look forward to coming back for a delicious meal again."
"Finally had lunch at Little Alley after hearing rave reviews from family who live in NYC & frequent Little Alley. Cozy, quaint and clean with friendly & very attentive staff. Great menu with lots of choices for vegetarian & non-vegetarians alike. They also have specials like braised turtle, eel and oxtail soup. Started with crab soup dumplings, scallion pancakes and sweet & sour ribs. Moved on to stir-fried cumin lamb (came with rice) and two lunch specials: savory scallion beef and shredded pork with bamboo shoot both came with rice, soup and your choice of spring roll or marinated cucumbers. Everything was made fresh to order, brought out hot - every bite savoury, flavorful & delicious. Definitely worth a visit especially if you're looking for not your everyday Chinese take-out."
