Reviews of BARDADIM TATTOO - Japanese Tattoo - Irezumi
"I just finished my Octopus colored arm sleeve with George and it was an incredible experience. It was my first tattoo, and it took 12 sessions to complete. The private studio is beautiful and clean. The process is amazing and George and Yana are a great duo that I will miss spending time with. George is a world class artist and his work & style is truly one of a kind. They are incredible & caring people here and I highly recommend George's work to anyone! The pictures on his Instagram speak for themselves! I could not be happier with my tattoo, it's perfect."
"Don’t go for a consultation unless you want to make 0 decisions on your own tattoo. I paid $68 for a consultation with George to plan my first tattoo. I told him exactly what I wanted and even sent him his own pictures of his own work as references for what I basically wanted done. Just a couple of small modifications so it wouldn’t be the same tattoo, and so that I would like it. After explaining to George my small modifications, he became very nasty and unprofessional over email. I understand every artist will have their own opinions and insight but George was nasty and throwing insults at my intelligence. Telling me why did I even want the tattoo if I’m going to make changes to his artwork. I tried to at least come to a compromise with George on at least one of my requests, but he ultimately decided to be done with me and said he didn’t want to do my tattoo. George claims he only does “traditional tattoos” without any changes and apparently only what he wants to do. My changes weren’t anything crazy (keep in mind I was ready to commit to paying over $9k for a full sleeve), but he decided not to move forward because what I wanted would not be traditional Japanese enough for him. George, do you realize traditional Irezumi tattoos are stick & poke not done using a tattoo gun? At the end of day, I really like George’s work but his unprofessionalism, stubbornness and nasty attitude towards me is not how to treat a potential client willing to pay thousands for a sleeve because of small modifications I want."
"I just wrapped up my first tattoo--a traditional Japanese sleeve--with George Bardadim. The entire process from beginning to end was outstanding. George is a World Class tattoo artist with significant experience and focus. George and Yana also did a wonderful job in keeping the tattoo studio clean and comfortable. Trust me, the entire tattoo experience was simply professional and seamless. Starting with my initial consultation, George helpfully answered the many questions I had going into my first piece. I felt completely comfortable asking his opinion on the design and also making suggestions. Aside from that, he's a generally cool and interesting dude who is a great person with strong characters. I am thinking about the second one and will definitely come back, as you would always want the second sleeve after the first one is perfectly done!"
"There’s no one I’d trust more to mark my body than George. He is a professional and a master of his craft. George and Yana make an excellent team, and we all worked together to produce an excellent final result. Moreover, they are good and caring people. Although his style of tattooing may not be the most traditional Japanese style (what do you expect from a Russian tattooist doing Japanese tattoos in New York City?), his own unique individual style is beautiful, incredible, awesome, occasionally badass, and the results speak for themselves."
"Cannot speak highly enough of George and Yana. Shop is incredibly clean, welcoming, and beautiful. Some wonderfully refreshing Japanese tea was made by Yana as the three of us had a wonderful conversation before my first session- truly great people. George is an absolute master of his craft and I cannot wait for my follow up sessions. This isn’t just a tattoo session, it’s an experience. Beyond satisfied and well worth the wait!"
