Reviews of YH Nails
"Jenny is great! She always does a fabulous job on my nails and toes (I do gel mani and pedi). I will say their prices have increased quite significantly over the past couple years. Gel manicure used to be $23, not it is $30."
"I had a man do my nails, maybe he’s learning I’m not sure but, he clearly does not know how to shape nails. What bothered me the most was that he didn’t care about the work he was putting out. Possible language barrier, but he understood me very clearly when I said the nails are crooked, they are not shaped properly. I was made to feel like just another body in the chair But, more so like I was an inconvenience when I asked for my nails to be shaped even and the tips not so crooked. I was a bit insulted and told my real nails were too short..yes they are short but what does that have to do with the nails that were applied and shaped poorly? My girlfriends have all asked me “Where did you get your nails done?” I’ve heard things like “oh my God they’re awful! You paid for this?” “Go back there I’ll go with you” No I would Never again. I asked for them to be fixed he was rather annoyed by this. Overall they are absolutely awful from the application to the shaping and painting. I’m horribly embarrassed and disgusted by the money that I spent in the salon including tip. I’m not a nail technician, that’s why I go to someone to do my nails because I don’t have the skill to do my own. This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon. I will Never be going back. I would never recommend anyone I know to go here either just by the attitude alone. The ladies of this salon look like they did a beautiful job on other clients I was watching. This man on the other hand should really take a lesson and take better care in the product that he’s putting out. In this business, I feel like if you don’t love what you do then maybe you shouldn’t do it. I should not be walking around with some of my nails squared some of my nails like a coffin most unpainted on the sides but overall completely slanted. Nail technicians to me are artists but my feeling was to this man it’s not an art form it’s an inconvenience that he clearly cares nothing about."
"Great location with amazing staff. The place it’s big and very clean, the staff are very professional and kind. Kelly did a great job with my pedicure. I highly recommend them"
"I have been coming here to get fills about twice a month since July and have always been happy! My nails always looked beautiful, the shape nice and thin, and lasted a decent amount of time. Whenever I had a broken nail, they would fix it with no problem during my next appointment. I never ask for any person specifically to do my nails, but they typically end up being the same 2-3 people (who I guess always handle acrylics). Unfortunately, my most recent experience, today was really awful. I had a different guy do my nails than any of the people I'm used to. Right away, when he was buffing my nails, I felt some pain. It just got worse throughout. Usually, there might be an uncomfortable pain getting my nails done once in awhile so I let it go...but there were times where I literally flinched and said out loud "ow!" because I couldn't control it - it hurt that bad. Even worse, the guy did not ask if I was okay, be any gentler, or make any other adjustments. He kept filing and buffing my raw skin which I was clearly uncomfortable with. He continued to paint my nails and at one point when I put my hand in the dryer, I bumped my thumb. The paint didn't come off but looked bumpy - he noticed, didn't say anything, but proceeded to buff off the color and do ONE layer before he said "okay all done." Honestly, at this point I just wanted to get out of there. I was literally in pain. I attached a picture of my nails. The color and polish look pretty! But you can see my raw skin. In addition, I was left with dried up clear polish all over my fingers. It just looked really bad and hurt. Usually I leave and my nails look perfect and I can go on with my day - but these needed me to wash my hands, & scrape excess clear polish off. Even worse, I got worried about all of these open wounds getting infected so I applied hydrogen peroxide on all of them. Every single nail was burning, on fire. This is just not ok. I put neosporin on all of them and will continue to do so until they don't feel as raw. All in all, I'm upset, not just with this experience but THAT I had such a bad experience because I am usually so happy with them. So would I recommend this place? Use your discretion...if you find someone you like only book appointments with them. If you feel any pain - speak up, which I wish I had. I am unsure of if I should go back here or find another place at this time."
