"I have to admit that when this business opened up, the people had been very nice and hours were good. But recently, one never knows when they’re going to be open. I have been there several times and they were closed for vacation, because they were sick, and today, Columbus Day, I called at 10 AM got there at 11 AM and they were closed already. I could say would be my fault if I didn’t call, but I did. The lady who answered the phone should’ve told me what time they were closing today and they did not. I find it an unreliable business! Initially, I had no problem paying the $25 per haircut, but now I see there is no reason to pay extra for inconvenience. Time to move on."

"MAN OH MAN! The nostalgia! I miss my Barber Mike that i had to pleasure to know from 1994-2013 when i was young Metuchen kid. I loved walking into his shop and listening to 1950's music and his baseball art around the shop. He was the BESTTTT! I'm listening to 50s music now and reflecting back to Mike! My brother told me about him when i was 8 years old. He treated me with respect and always made me feel like fam! Love you MIKE!"

"The new owner purchased this establishment about two years ago. She knew the original owner who started to think about retiring and saw her opportunity to finally have her own business. The three chair barber shop only has one barber, Joyce herself. Although she has another female employee she is in training to complete her license. There is approximately 5 or 6 chairs for her customers. The shop is small but, comfortable. There is a bathroom, television, air conditioning and even an outdoor bench, where you may see some of her customers. Her customers are both male and female, so don't be surprised to see women in her shop. She doesn't take reservations but, accommodating. Most likely you will have to wait to get a haircut. Best to go early in the morning. She has a parking lot in back of her shop as well as on street parking in Metuchen with no meters. Haircuts are simple and fast since she has to move her customers. Prices are reasonable and friendly service."
