"The guy is a schyster. I brought a pair of boots to get shined. As soon as I walk in he's trying to replace the heel, which by the way has a rubber addition I had put on it when I bought them. Upon paying him I see a sign on the wall that says $5.00. I am small & my shoes are a size 8. I hand him a crisp new $5.00 bill. He tells me it's $10.00 there boots . I go to give him another $5.00 bill & we both realize there is two fives stuck together. Now he's asking me for another $5.00. I said oh no pal. you up charged me $5.00 but your not going to hustle me for another$5.00. The shoes aren't even that shiny. I could've used my sponge shiner & gotten the same results."
"This guy is the worst! Not only is he extremely overpriced but repairs are never ready on time. Heels that could be done in 15 minures downtown took this guy 2 weeks then done poorly. Had to leave them to be done correctly then had to wait another week. Try him if you dare and firm your own opinion."
"I paid in advance $50 to add 1 and a quarter inch of height to height to a simple pair of sneakers. I was "d the $50 and paid advanced. I went to pick up the shoe and was told he wanted another $20 with the BS line that prices have gone up. I had no choice but to pay this thief the $20. Wanted all his. It was from my brother who was getting a hip replacement and had and had a leg length problem. Now it cost me $70 to add a piece of foam to a $40 I will left sneaker.. If I did not pay him the $50 in advance I would have told him to keep the sneaker.. I was put between a rock and a hot place."
"I have gone to this shop many times over the past few years mainly because he is local. However everytime, I have an issue with him. He will charge you up front a ridiculous amount of money, ensuring you that he will complete a certain task, and then completely lie and not do what you pay for. Recently I went in with leather boots wanting both zippers replaced. He charged me. I came back s few days later to find he greased up the zippers and placeda new 10 cent hinge on the zipper that needed repair. I went back and forth with him over it and eventually got it out of him that he mainly did a quick fix and not the job requested. He offered me $20 credit. I said to simply give me new zippers. Now all of sudden 2 zippers would cost a total of $80. His price list never matches what he says. Liar and thief. Dishonest."
"I have been going to Roman to fix shoes for years! He has hands of gold. I only trust him with my Louboutins! If you're looking for professionalism, punctuality, and quality... Roman is the guy to go to!!"
