"We all shouldn't worry about Modells closing when you could go to a one shop store with a crew all Staten Islanders that know what your kids need...Needed a jersey made in a emergency...they made it happen same day. Good advice you can't get in big sports stores...It started will sports now they do all my business attire...Mustang Contracting Inc.."
"Hoping they would’ve owned up to the issue I had in store about two weeks ago now, but after contacting higher ups and multiple yelp reviews they continue to run away from the issue at hand. As you can read from my fathers review down below, I had brought in a brand new New York Rangers Jersey, adidas, completely blank still with the tags on it. I had called the store asking them if they stitch on letters and numbers to the jersey, assuring me they do and that they get the kits from the NHL so it would match, I proceeded to seek their services for this matter. I had gone in the store, reiterated what I stated over the phone and had the jersey taken from me and what I allegedly wanted written on a piece of loose leaf. To make a long story short, I gave the shop a few days and waited for their call. Anxious, I actually ended up calling them and they informed me the jersey was finished that morning and looked great. After driving to the other side of the island to pick it up with my mom and brother, they took the jersey out of a brown shopping bag to display to me the letters were not stitched on like I had asked, but ironed. Then proceeded to tell me that’s not what I asked for, begging me to show my boyfriend (the person who I was giving this as a gift too) the jersey, because he “would wear it anyway”. They proceeded to make us paid for my ruined jersey. After calling back, we spoke to Mike on the phone who blatantly ignored the issue at hand and tried to get us to shut up by claiming he would help us, keep in mind this is after he insulted me by saying I was overreacting and had no idea what I was talking about. When the issue of how I am a 20 year old who worked hard to buy a gift I took pride in came up, he stated he had been doing this for 40 years and that “he works hard for his money too”. Complete different circumstances. In the end, you should’ve done the right thing by your customer. But I haven’t had 40 years of experience so, who am I to say."
