Cece's African Hair Braiding

"I’ve been getting my hair sewn in for years now I’ve had some bad experiences, some great. This place is unprofessional! & they do not cater to customers at all. I had to get a sew in the young lady that did my hair had attitude, I remained patient as I needed this done for work and she did not sew in the braids she crochet as a quick easier way for her to finish as fast as possible. I asked for tight braids they were sloppy. 2 days later my braids were hanging out of my sew in and could not be covered ! I wrote Cecile and explained to her and she left me hanging. I payed in full and I was also told to be there at 2pm, I waited in my car until 5:30pm after driving an hour to get to this particular salon. Horrible customer service! Just expect this kind of treatment. Not cool."

"Listen… I don’t know if this is post pandemic prices or what… but this place is way too expensive now for mediocre work. I paid almost double what I paid over a year ago. $250 for box braids?!! Neveeeeeerrr again. My daughter and my hair is JUST ok. One young lady left unhappy with her hair, and another client left after waiting for almost an hour, without getting service. We won’t be back. There are other braiders in the area for way less money and just as good quality. Yeah… it’s a no for me. And to top it all off …THEY STINK. 6 hours of the worst smell from all 3 stylists. But the worst offense is the way the talked about and made fun of a little girl with very course (but beautiful) hair getting box braids. Texurism from THESE women… HA!"

"First Martina the girl doing my hair came in an hr late and there was no apology. I told her I wanted Large twists. I ended up with medium and this was after telling her the parts were too small, the middle part was crooked and it was noticeably longer in one side. I was charged $180 for shoulder length twists after people with waist length braids were paying $140. Okay, the next day the one twist came a loose and I went to get it fixed. No problem. The next day 5 came a loose so I called CeCe to let her know I needed to get them fixed. She told me to call before I came because she might have someone in her chair. I called several times and it went straight to VM. It turns out she blocked me. I had to just go and she just put rubber bands on the end of them and they look dumb as hell. She tried to blame me for the issue. They are in walking distance from my house and you couldn’t pay me to go back there."

"My regular stylist cancelled last minute so Cece was recommended to me by a friend. I contacted her and she responded with an appointment the following morning. I just finished and love the job she did. I had crochet style and price is what I pay at my regular salon. I highly recommend."

"Please read then go at your own risk: Believe the previous reviews about how unprofessional and rude the owner is. However first I'll talk about the quality of the work. Once my hair was completed I thought it looked nice and was happy with  the outcome. That was short lived  after only a week the braids began to fall out with minumim manipulation. Now I get my hair braided at least once a year at a different salon and this has never happened to me. Prior to writing a review I called the salon to discuss my concerns and wow! Cece, the owner was very rude, accusatory  and blamed me for my braides, coming out. (For the record I did nothing to cause the braids to fall  out) I asked can I come in person. She agreed and told me to come before the shop closes. When i inquired about and what time the shop will close her response was "when ever I feel like it" Please do not do bussiness here. The quality of the work I recieved was not worth the price. These braids will not last and I paid $140. I rather spend my money where the quality is good and the customers are appreciated"
