Joe's Hair Styling & Barber 107 Main Street, Tappan, NY 10983

"Unfortunately, the owner (Joe) of Joe's Barbershop has sold his business to Maureens Hair Styling. All barbers who worked at Joe's are now gone. I recently had a hair appointment and "not" one of the new hair stylists or owner said hello and / or greeted me to their new business. As a guy, I felt very out-of-place in this environment and I kind of got the feeling that they do not want to be in the business of cutting mens hair. I got the same haircut from Joe but I got the sticker shock when told at the register that the haircut was now $30.00. Remind you, the "same haircut" was $17.00 pre-pandemic, then to $25.00 during the Pandemic, to now $30.00 and that's without a gratuity. Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end and that was "officially" my last haircut at Joe's Barbershop."

"Joe is a great guy and his staff is very quick and professional. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the RC and BC areas. Being a barber myself it is difficult to find a team this talented. Definitely worth the trip. Thanks joe and team! Keep up the good work!!"

"I have gone to this place about 6 times and about 5/6 times I have gotten a below average haircut. Personally have never had Joe himslef cut my hair but the other employees give insanely bad haircuts. Have recently found a new barber that is very concerned about how my hair looks now and how it will look in a month or two. I’ve gone to him about 3 times and he is 3/3. After the second time he actually talked to me about how my hair grows and then he cut it a certain way to make it look better when it grows in. Would of given one star but I have not gotten a cut from Joe himself."

"Maybe, just maybe I caught this place on a bad day. But still, it doesn't excuse the poor customer service and professionalism displayed. First, I wasn't even greeted when entering the establishment OR asked if I wanted a haircut. Second, when I entered I said hello to an old man and young-ish woman, both sitting down and could barely acknowledge the fact I said hello, just looked away and down. Third, after sitting down for a few minutes the young-ish woman finally asked if I was here for a haircut. Finally, the haircut she gave was decent, but the entire experience was bad enough I'll definitely not be returning and giving a heads up to anyone else considering this establishment"
