"Style spirit and professionalism Hands down after a full year of bad experiences I finally found Hair cult It is the best salon in Hoboken"
"I love this place!!! Get good vibes and leave with great hair! They use really nice smelling and luxe vegan products here, and when you sit down they give you a warm towel and hot tea. If you're lucky two doggies, Sita and Leche will be there too!"
"Title: Disappointing Customer Service Experience I recently had a highly disappointing encounter with the receptionist at the Aveda salon. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected medical emergency that required immediate surgery, I had to reschedule my appointment a few hours before a long awaited, much anticipated appointment, I was beyond disappointed and also very unwell. Instead of receiving understanding when I rang to explain the situation from my hospital bed, the receptionist showed zero compassion and was incredibly rude on the phone, telling me I’d caused huge issues and that there was a huge gap in my stylists schedule for the day. She made me feel so awful and didn’t even acknowledge my feelings, I was crying by the end of the phone call, which left me feeling even more distressed during what was already a traumatic experience. Customer service is a crucial aspect of any establishment, and it is disheartening to have encountered such a lack of professionalism and empathy. As someone who values the importance of genuine care and support, I was deeply saddened by the receptionist's behavior. It is important for salon staff, especially front-line personnel, to exhibit empathy and understanding in situations like mine. While I cannot speak for the quality of the salon's services or treatments, this experience has left a lasting negative impression. I hope that the management of Aveda salon takes this feedback seriously and addresses the need for improved customer service training and a more empathetic approach towards their clients. I am happy to be contacted to provide more specific feedback."
"Everyone knows how difficult is to change hair salons... to find a professional that truly gets you and your style is a titanic endeavor. I read the reviews of Hair Cult and because I had to I jumped... reviews were good and I really need a root touch up and a refresh of my highlights. They were super attentive and professionals from the very beginning. They have an online questionnaire that I found very easy to fill and gave me peace of mind that the person on the other side will understand what I wanted. Arrival and welcome impeccable. Showed them pictures, told them what I did not want. Showed them what I wanted. Now... time for coloring.. well I will say this, highlights came up exactly as I wanted. Base color came exactly as I told them I did NOT want it. It took me years to remove the dark base of my hair... and now is fully back on :( Not going to lie, although they were nice, they did not say once they made a mistake or apologize for the colossal fiasco that will take me years to fix... but they did the next best thing which is take action when they saw me about to cry... and they offer me an appointment to try to fix it... I still do not know how will they be able to erase completely the dark color base they put without turning it into a red hot root or frying my hair... but because I really hate how I look right now - still I am willing to give them a chance... The price was quite expensive for a root touch up and a partial highlights in my humble opinion, I paid over 300 usd. In manhattan normally it did not go beyond 190 usd... so...that's a negative... UPDATE I went today to get the dark roots fixed... Again super nice everybody. They did camouflage the dark roots with more highlights. They are still there... but at least you don't see them that much... Now we have a plan to get my hair color back on track... because I have ended with 2/3 different tones of blonde... the ends of my hair color was more or less how I had it before... and the part towards the roots is the color they made today... I give them 4 stars for the good intent and the kindness and good vibe of all the people... I still think it's a matter of fine tuning with them... so will keep working to achieve my hair goals..."
"What can I say ,since the moment you come inside your in love with the decor ! The service amazing!!!! As soon your inside front desk receives you check for your appointment, asks if you want water ,coffee or tea ! Later takes your coat ! Amazing . While you wait for your stylist which their timing is always spot on ,you enjoy the music, decorations and your beverage. My stylist was Anthony as soon your in his hands you can feel his passion for beauty and style ,his 20years of experience, his a perfectionist which is great to have in a person who you trust your hair ,they are amazing I wouldn't imagine going anywhere else ! Love them! They treat you like family ."
