"Short Summary: After searching for a local hairstylist for YEARS to help care for my natural hair, I finally found my match. Tiana is very professional and does great hair! Long Review: I’ve been searching for a hairstylist that tends to natural hair for years. I followed many stylists and watched their pages for months - years never feeling comfortable enough to book. After watching Tiana’s page for a few months and seeing her amazing work and evident knowledge about natural hair, I decided to pull the trigger. Booking: Booking was fast and easy through the online platform she uses. The prices are very reasonable and she had pretty good availability. She was even flexible with her weekend booking policy for me, which I appreciated. After submitting the appointment request, she’s very quick with responding to your request and any questions you may have. I don’t recall paying any deposit upfront, but I think I had to just put a card on file. You’ll also receive automated reminders and confirmation of your appointment from the platform which I liked as well. Appointment: Firstly, the salon is absolutely magnificent. It was clean and quiet when I arrived for my 9am appointment. It was so nicely decorated and each stylist has their own “room” complete with everything they need to tend to their client. (I’m not sure about the parking situation, but if I recall correctly there is some available nearby.) I arrived to the salon about 10-15 minutes before my appointment and Tiana was able to get started with me right away. The entire appointment (silk press, deep condition, and trim) took maybe 2 hours or so , which was longer than anticipated, but my hair is very thick and long, which extended the time. She works very efficiently and quickly. During the appointment we chatted a little, but I specifically appreciated the little tips she gave me and that she was able to answer questions about my hair. By the time we were finished my hair was beautifully transformed. She absolutely killed the silk press. My hair had so much volume, shine, and looked healthier than it had in YEARS. Style lifespan and hair reverting: To my surprise, my silk press lasted two weeks and could’ve lasted even longer if I had touched it up. I had no problems with scalp dryness, itchiness, or anything which tells me she uses high quality products. My hair reverted back to my normal 4c/4b curls literally after 30-60 seconds of rinsing my hair. My hair reverting back to its natural state is the one thing I feared the most after being natural for over 7 years. However, I had NO HEAT DAMAGE after going to Tiana whatsoever. I was also so surprised at how manageable my hair was and how little hair I lost during wash day. (Normally I suffer from severe shedding/breakage and lose a lot of hair during wash day.) She gave me an AMAZING trim that I talk to everyone about. I cannot get over how nice of a job she did and cannot wait to go back to her again. I can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re hesitant and skeptical like I was when looking for a hair stylist, going with Tiana is a great choice. She’s a pro!"

"I booked an appointment for my mother for her birthday after I stumbled across Ms. Tiana Brown's work on instagram. My mother called me back distressed and offended after she described how she was received at the salon. The stylist was disrespectful, condescending and without empathy. My mother stopped by the salon on time (1:20 PM) to let the stylist know that she would have to go back and adjust her car due to a error with the meter. I have encouraged my mother to write down her full experience and leave it here, but as someone who wanted to give their parent a relaxing experience this was a nightmare. I would recommend no one patronize this business. These new stylists have no customer service and act like its a privilege to be serviced by them. This woman has a lot of gall to treat a client like that but with that attitude towards her business she won't go far. Shame on you."

"This review is well overdue. I scheduled an appointment with Tiana after viewing her work online. When I arrived, I told her I had not had a trim in a while. She proceeded to tell me she could not trim my hair because of the texture and length and I would need to find another stylist for a haircut. I was extremely confused as she claims to be a natural hair stylist and could not perform basic services such as a trim/cut. She then berated me by saying that I wasted her time! I was in disbelief. What the other reviewer mentioned is true- she is condescending and rude. It was truly a horrible way to treat a first time client, let alone any client! I would never recommend her services to anyone as she doesn't have the necessary skill set or manners."

Prior to getting my hair done by Tiana, I struggled to find a natural hair stylist that was truly knowledgeable about natural hair care. She was recommended to me by my mom and I am grateful to have her as my stylist."

"I’ve been looking for a local hair stylist for years! I’ve tried many stylists in the surrounding area but none have done my hair the way I like or with the care I like. I had a bad experience with another local stylist and Ms Tiana was able to save my hair and gave me a nice silk press and trim for my birthday. She is very knowledgeable about hair care and is great at what she does. I will be visiting again soon to take advantage of her other services!"
