"Glam Haven is a very special salon that empowers women. I’ve been a loyal client for over 8 years. The atmosphere is full of serene and I’m never in a rush to leave. Euphrates is gifted and can master any cut or color of your choice. She is very welcoming and attentive, not just to your hair but your spirit as a servant of the Lord. You never know when you are going to get a life changing word or prayer from her. I always leave her chair looking beautiful, empowered by her wisdom from the Lord, and full of joy! Ladies if you desire this all inclusive experience then Glam Haven is the place to visit. Schedule your appointment immediately!"
"Mone was extremely unprofessional. My hair didn’t even last a week. She rushed, she burned me several times, she was late and I told her via text I wanted a trim then she said she wouldn’t have time. Tried to make conversation and she said was pretty bland and rude."
"Euphrates & Mo are the most Amazing kind hearted women you will ever meet. This is why I keep coming back. professionalism is an understatement! They are knowledgeable about hair care and can accommodate just about any appointment. And just for these few reasons is why I will always be a loyal customer!"
"HORRIBLE EXPERIECE and EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was very excited to finally take the plunge and cut my hair short into a sleek and chic hairstyle. I found glam Haven, and Euphrates on Instagram and based on the pictures and comments it seemed as though she would be a good fit for what I was looking for. She was flexible with scheduling my appointment as I changed the time with her a few times. I did appreciate that. Today - the day of my appointment -, I felt uncomfortable from the second I walked in, but tried to overlook the condition of the location and venue . If I were to receive an awesome haircut from a professional, I thought "ok, it will be worth it". I'm all for not "judging a book by its cover ". Not only was Euphrates 30 minutes late for her appointment w no prior contact , she acted like she was doing me a favor when she showed up. I asked her how she was doing because she was so quiet and stand off-ish, I wanted to lighten the mood a bit and get more comfortable with the woman who was about to cut my hair off. She just responded un-enthusiastically, I'm good. Over the phone when I asked her how much the cut would be, she said I'll tell you that in person once I've examined the hair and I thought, " OK, that makes sense". She asked me in an annoyed tone, show me exactly what you want because you sent me six different pictures already. I responded , I know --here is what I was thinking and I showed her some pictures of what I liked and she just acted like I was wasting her time. I told her I was expecting to have a hair consultation, and have a conversation about what to expect , how it was going to go as this was my first time having my hair cut short. She responded to me very bluntly with "what do you want from me"? do you want empathy? " "because you already sent me six pictures, you already told me the texture of your hair was "Domincan" hair and I'm looking "dead" at it so I already know". "So as far as the conversation about the haircut , there is no conversation because I know how to cut the hair , every picture you sent me works with your face , so I'm just ready to cut". "If you want a conversation I'm sorry but I don't do that". "Is there something else you want to talk about?" I said well, " I want to talk about the aftercare " ( thinking that the aftercare would somewhat determine or have some contribution towards the style of the hair as I did not want something that was high maintenance and high upkeep). To which she responded " we'll talk about it AFTER I cut your hair " in a non sympathetic tone. At that point , I told her "well, I don't feel comfortable, as I started to pin my hair a back up. "I expected more professionalism". Euphrates then responded "I am a professional" As she proceeded to take my apron off. I got up and stated "actually, you showed up 30 minutes late and.... She cut me off saying "I'm done talking to you I don't want to talk to you anymore ". Naturally, I walked out letting her know this was a complete waste of my time and she was unprofessional. I'm sooooo glad I did. I'm so glad I trusted my instinct from the very beginning. Every woman should feel at ease with her stylist, it should be an enjoyable experience . It's bad enough the salon is in a bad and filthy area and the salon itself is not well kept. But To have a so called "master stylist" come in and make you feel like she's doing YOU a favor when you're paying her good money to perform a service for you ....no one deserves that kind of treatment or attitude. Bottom line is I would NEVER step foot in the Glam Haven salon ever again , nor would I ever recommend anyone else do so either . Master Stylist or not - Euphrates needs a MAJOR lesson is courtesy , compassion and professionalism ."
