"Made an appointment on Zoc Doc for the Eastchester Office but she does not take UFT insurance at that location. Saw her in the Manhattan office. She couldn’t have been nicer. I was in pain because I chipped a tooth and wore down some enamel due to teeth clenching at night. My bite was off so she evened out the tooth and it feels much better. They let me know up front all of the pricing. I do have a Cavity that needs to be filled and will be going back. I needed to put the $75 deposit down for my cavity filling appointment and I completely understand why. I used to work for a doctor and when patients don’t show up that is lost revenue/business. Honestly, it was an overall good experience and my teeth feel better already."
"My fiance was in need of a dentist, so we decided to look on ZocDoc. We found Dr. Blau and then booked a visit. First strike is the fact we booked a visit for a Monday, but the office called to inform us that she isn't in the office on Monday. Second strike is the fact that Zocdoc indicates that you are able to book an appointment for free. However, Dr. Stacey Platt-Blau has updated her information indicating that patients need to put down a $75 deposit in order to "hold" an appointment slot. That is poor practice and and she is making patients undergo additional hardship during a pandemic. HEARTLESS. I inquired with the assistant (Frida) if the fee would be refunded if the provider is unable to provide care, and was informed "no" since patients have not been coming to their visits due to COVID. If my copay is less than $75, am I supposed to just forget about the rest of the money? These are the doctors we should ALL AVOID. Money-hungry with poor business practices. There was no itemized bill nor invoice provided. How and why would we just give payment information over the phone? Like Frida repeated, it's a pandemic. How do I know that they will not be using my account information for ulterior motives? I'm happy we had this experience prior to stepping foot into the office. Who knows what other shady business they have going on?"
"Dr. Blau is wonderful, and I suggest looking at her reviews on zoc doc rather than google if you are thinking of making an appointment. I haven't seen a different dentist since I found her, and she works with teachers on the pricing of things not covered/not fully covered by our UFT Dental Plan."
"Poorly customer service they need to smile more. The service not so good."
