Express Auto Spa - Lakewood

"Went here for the first time since ownership changed hands. It is a little confusing at first. There are two lanes: members and paying customer. Once you go around the do-it-yourself vacuums, you should be greeted by a person by the kiosks. Now you have the option of vacuuming yourself or have the place do it. Car wash is $28 if you vacuum yourself or $45 if you let them do it. The option for them doing the vacuuming is called Flex. I didn’t have a problem with the price, it was the inconvenience of having to turn the car around to go back to the detailing section. Luckily there wasn’t anyone there waiting in line, so I can see this being an issue if they are busy. You pull in and get out of the car. I felt a little hurried out of the car and rushed inside to pay. The person didn’t speak English well, so it was frustrating and confusing. Once inside you need to pay for the car wash. When your interior is done, you get back in the car and then have to go back to that kiosk (where I had to turn around before) and hand the receipt to the person there. You then stay in the car as it goes through the car wash. Once outside the car wash, there is a traffic-light sign telling you when to go. You pull over and they dry off your car. Even though the process needs work on running more efficiently, the results of the interior cleaning were excellent, but the exterior was to be desired. Simple dirt stains and bird poop still remain on my car after the wash (see pics at the end). I’m not going to complain about some water stains from the mirrors or back window, because that always happens no matter how good it is cleaned. Just disappointed with the exterior clean and the overall experience. I’d still go back, but if I have similar results, it will be my last visit."

"This place was great, the guys in the lube area are really nice people and they even helped me figure out a problem with my car. Miguel and his guys pinned the issue and my mechanic went right in and fixed it, also I joined the monthly car wash program and it’s definitely worth it especially in the winter time. The owner is a pretty chill guy and so is his son! Definitely a 5 star from me!"

"Was recommended to go here by a family member- however, very disappointed with not only the quality of the wash, but also the operation. Waited in line to be redirected back around the building to get the interior done first. Interior cleaning was not quality work- I was left with dust and pine needles in my trunk - which is the reason I wanted it vacuumed. Then had to wait in the line again after the interior wash, and the car was left with water spots and dirt! Not worth $48 at all and will NEVER go back. They also took my receipt after I proved I paid without asking- so recourse is not possible at this point. I am only giving an extra star because the customer service was okay."

"I have been coming to this car Wash the last few years and it was always amazing! However, I just went to it this morning as it has new owners and it is completely different. You now pay $28 just to have the outside of your car washed. No vacuum or anything, you have to do that yourself. My money will be going elsewhere"

"Best wash I’ve been too. Quality is excellent. I signed up for a membership I can wash for free as many times as I want. Highly recommend. Owner was awesome came out and greeted me. Vacuums are fast and strong! Love doing it myself no more wait times."
