I was just looking to buy several shoe trees for my shoes and boots. They have great shoe boot selection so next time I will come here first."

I was astonished to find that, rather than my typical size of 7-1/2 to 8, I was in fact a 6-1/2 EEE in this brand. Nicole's extensive knowledge of the brand’s welt ensured a perfect fit. Not only did she explain the mechanics behind their shoes, but she also took the time to introduce me to their diverse range of shoe lines, colors, and customization options. "It was great to be back in Manhattan after 2 years! I was looking for a pair of black, Grayson tassel loafers to compliment the pair of brown ones I bought 5 or 6 years ago and wear regularly. My wife and I went into the Madisoin Avenue shop and received fantastic, attentive service from the lovely store manager and her colleague Louis. The shoes I wanted were not in stock but Ms. Manager placed them on order and later that day I received email confirmation that they were on the way! It is so nice to go into a physical store for shoes and receive excellent service. In fact, I was looking for another style of shoe (of lower quality) which AE does not make but the Ms. Manager (damn I can't recall her name!) and Louis suggested several other stores where I found what I was looking for. "Louis was very helpful from the moment I stepped in the door. He sized me up, made suggestions on shoe type, sole type, etc. Explained how to care for my shoes so they last for many years. I found out that I’ve been wearing the wrong size shoe for years because most companies don’t offer wide enough shoes. I’ve been wearing size 11.5 to 12 for years, but it turns out I’m a 10.5 EEE. I have a very wide foot. Bought a pair of Park Ave Cap Toes in Chili leather. Beautiful shoes! Can’t wait to pick them up in a few days after they add the non-slip sole protectors. I’ll be back soon for a 2nd pair so that I can start wearing them in rotation."

"Went shopping for shoes, not much traffic in the store, but the staff didn't seem to be too eager to help me. I walked down the street to Carmina, got excellent service and bought a pair of nice shoes. I have since then bought a pair of AE shoes online. The first shoes that shipped had poor alignment of the toecap and I had to return them. The second pair was better, particularly given the sale price. The quality of the shoes is good, but most of the time I would rather walk down the street to Carmina, where you get excellent service and in my opinion, a better bang for the buck."
