Shore Children's Dental Care

"My two children have been patients here for 3.5 and 1.5 years, respectively. I have called this office 3 times in the last week with concerns about my child’s permanent teeth. When I call, I am automatically routed to an off-shore answering service that asks for details about my child- birthdate, health concerns, ect. I am not comfortable giving any information about my child to anyone who is not working in the office. Once I actually get someone in the office, they make excuses about why no one has returned my call, and promise to get back to me, but no one ever does. They seem eager to blame the “lost calls” on colleagues. Their wait time for appointments is months, and they are virtually impossible to get on the phone. Look elsewhere. Also! They have time to call me/text me/smoke signal me over a $30 balance that I was never sent an invoice for. THE IRONY."

"We use shore for years And have had great experiences with Dr. Sherman a really nice man However Dr. Sherman is the nicest doctor ever, his workers are really rude For example 1 locked my daughter in a room and made me wait outside Another time the hygienist sprayed novicane down another daughter's throat, another time my daughter had a root canel and the secretary wouldn't give us an appointment so we were forced to switch dentists for that daughter plus my 2 older daughters However when Dr. Sherman heard this he was so mad at his secretary that he yelled at her (I hope it helped) Don't worry, we still use Dr Sherman's office for my 3 younger kids and we are very happy with him I reccomend if you are looking to schedule u should since he is very honest but ask for Dr Sherman Thank you Dr Sherman is an honestkind dentist that is highly recommended for all young children"

"We are in Manasquan on vacation. My daughter forgot her rubber bands at home. A week without bands would extend her treatment by weeks or months. I called the office this morning to explain my situation. Daria was so helpful and kind. Dr. Rabinovich gave her two packs of bands. Thanks so much Shore Ortho!"

"It takes a lot for me to give a bad review to any business, and this one was hard.. the dentists at Shore Children's Dental Care are great. We had wonderful experiences with Dr. Jason and are very sad to have to go elsewhere for our dental services, if he left the practice we would follow him. Unfortunately the staff and management of SCDC are horrendous. They act as if they are doing you a favor by giving you an appointment, they treat their patients as if its their fault they are understaffed (the whole world is understaffed, don't blame your customers!!). Their billing practices are horrendous, and good luck trying to schedule routine cleanings. My son had to have a tissue growth removed from his mouth at 7 months old. Dr. Jason did a great job with the removal. SCDC sent the tissue to a lab that was out of network for our insurance (never told me) and I was stuck with a very large bill, which I paid to the lab. They then sent a similar bill to Delta our dental insurance provider, who did not pay the bill until October of this year - again, not my problem but I still offered to call the insurance company, whatever they needed for me to help get the remainder of the service covered. They continuously sent harassing TEXT MESSAGES (not phone calls, not mail, TEXTS) saying I had past due bills etc when I had been in constant communication with them and they were working on the insurance issue. After SCDC received the payment from Delta, instead of sending me another text, calling to inform me, or sending me a bill in the mail with my out of pocket balance, they just charged my credit card without alerting me or giving me a heads up. The amount is irrelevant, it could have been $5 or $5000 you do not just randomly charge someone for a bill you never sent them. I could go on and on about how the practice screwed up my daughters dental implant ordering from their lab, and billing associated with that nightmare but this review is to make a point. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!! unless you want a headache and unnecessary bills."

"I took my kids here to have fillings and my son had two extractions. My daughter was nervous the procedure would hurt and was crying before. They were SO good with making my kids comfortable and explaining everything being used that it completely eased away their fear. My daughter didn't shed a single tear during the procedure and the staff helped to make it a pleasant experience for them. Definitely recommend!"
