"He was my dentist as a kid. In 1985 he filled 6 cavities and told me that I didn't need any numbing agent (novicane/lanicane). The pain was incredible and to a 10 year old it was traumatic. The dentist preceding him (Druckinmiller) allowed me have a positive experience and I realized the hard way that there were good and bad dentists. Maines was also a smoker and this was pre masks required (yuck). I know this review is 36 years old, and practices have changed. But I thought I would post my experience as I still have a memory of this. Enough that I told my current dentist if he didn't properly numb me should I have a cavity that I would not be the only one hurting."
