Very happy with this shop and both the work performed and the management. Back over the summer I got the best alignment I've had in years. I like working with Andy and his shop so much I'm actually fixing things proactively again –not just when I break down– since I can trust their good work and fair prices: I haven't done that in years. And since I've been bringing cars here, I haven't broken down again. He's been catching stuff, prioritizing it, reminding me of stuff that's getting marginal and doing so well in advance, so I can plan. So glad to have finally found Quality Automotive: I feel kinda silly it took so long. I grew up here. Now they HAVE MOVED and ARE OPEN again AT THE NEW ADDRESS: It's not too far away: Mohegan Lake, East a few miles and up the hill, on the south side of Lexington Ave. closer to rt202. This doubles my drive, but it might halve yours and good shops and good people are worth the drive. my first visit was an entirely positive experience and everything since has gone well: So, Thank You Andy, partners and mechanics all. I'm happy to have a new (to me anyway: They're in business for more than 27 years) repair shop and mechanics. [ORIGINAL/INITIAL REVIEW follows: I'm brand new to this place and as body shops like to say, "we meet by accident" . Not in this case, but I did break down and role into the shop yard, almost (missed by 15-20 feet). Andy was knowledgeable, friendly and obliviously very skilled in diagnosis, as I listened to him speak with several customers and explain things. When it was my turn he rapidly did a preliminary assessment and isolated the problem -i believe correctly- based on only a few symptoms. He went on to tell me about the various different issues with the repair. He immediately said he was not positive about the position/location/configuration of the likely failed part on my transmission/clutch on my uncommon model car, but that he'd quickly be able to tell once he actually got a look at it. I respect someone that tells it to you straight and is willing to say, "i don't know" (three of my favorite words to hear, honestly): "But I can find out"... I respect that a lot more as I get older.]"
