Chris got me in last minute, at the height of the holidays, and replaced multiple problematic parts of my car (shocks, struts, brakes and wheel spindle) in a timely manner, considering the holidays, while also keeping the price down. "Chris and L&B are amazing. I'd had a oil leak for about 10 years that was never bad enough to get fixed for the cost.... then it started smoking. I asked some friends for recs in NYC and chose L & B because it had good reviews and was close to good pizza (!)... When I dropped the car off I had to tell them about another issue with my car that no one had ever been able to fix — the battery constantly drained and, to turn the car on, you had to jump it. I wasn't expecting that problem to be addressed because I'd already had several different mechanics look at it who told me it was a total mystery. I just wanted Chris to be aware of the problem. It was like his eyes lit up at the challenge and two days later I get a call saying he'd FIXED that completely and now it's like I have a new life for my car! It starts up every time (like a normal car!!!! Yay!!) Then he fixed the oil leak and I am just SO HAPPY. I love my old car and now I feel like I can keep it for another bunch of time. Highly recommend these guys. Just a lovely experience over all."

"Finding a good mechanic seems harder than finding a good doctor and we can't feel better about finding L&B Auto Repair. Where others were deterred working on a "European" car (a VW), Chris didn't flinch at all. After our car was smashed into by a moving van, we were relieved to find out that L&B could handle our bodywork as well. Chris provided a rare experience nowadays: a human touch and a sense of trust in their family auto repair business.
