Reviews of Dr. Sammy Goldstein, DDS - Union City Dentist
"The worst dental experience of my life. Avoid this place, especially Dr. Jacob S. Cohen. I arrived feeling fine, but when I left, I was emotionally and physically distressed. I left with tooth pain as the anesthesia had worn off, despite feeling fine initially. It has been two days now, and I can't eat anything due to the pain while chewing. I can't even drink water without experiencing discomfort, which wasn't an issue before my visit. I was informed that one of my fillings was slightly damaged, and the doctor was supposed to repair it. The new filling he inserted is sharp and causing me pain. Despite voicing my discomfort, he declined to rectify it, hurrying to leave the office. Another significant concern was that he commenced the procedure before the anesthesia had taken full effect, persuading me to try and promising to halt if I experienced pain. I practically had to yell at him to stop, but he continued drilling despite my agony. Later, he said, 'I can't wait half an hour for the anesthesia to work.' He handled my face roughly, creating an abusive experience. I've never encountered such an extreme and unpleasant visit to a dentist, despite having various dental experiences in my life. Moreover, I feel this specialist is primarily motivated by money, as he suggested redoing one of my old fillings without explaining the reason. Similarly, he pointed out a small cavity on the X-ray but couldn't see it with his eyes, yet he insisted it was there. The cavity he drilled wasn't small at all, and I deeply regret allowing this 'doctor' to damage my tooth, which is now causing me pain. To add to my frustration, the waiting times in this place are excessively long, even with an appointment. The first time, I waited three hours for a rushed 5-minute teeth cleaning that was of poor quality, and the second time, I waited 1.5 hours past my scheduled appointment time. Now, I must seek a genuine dentist to rectify all the errors made by this one."
"I really feel bad for this business . Today I went for bonding . Dr. Cohen is nice . But he seems to be extremely burned out and miserable. I ended up fixing my own tooth at home in terms of filing it down to make it the way I want . Now, let me speak about his staff. His staff have absolutely no respect for him or his patients . The older lady is extremely rude and always has an attitude . It seems like she’s not married nor has a husband and if she does , oh lord please . Poor him . And the other younger one in her early 40s is extremely rude and disrespectful with a stinking attitude . ** dr, cohen told her she should be the one making the referral for him and when I told her to write it . She completely went ballistic , ready to jump someone , ghetto with a manly behavior you find in the hood like a gorilla in heat, yelling at me and telling me “it’s none of my business and I’m not the one paying her” lol like you turt face the reason why you even got a job is because of me. I paid your boss to pay YOU. And then the older lady started yelling at him and putting him down. His staff have absolutely no respect . He gets humiliated right of his patients .he doesn’t say anything back. He said he’s already tired and doesn’t have energy to argue back , as if he gets beaten like a poor homeless puppy in the streets . He has a defeated attitude , I would have fired them a long time ago, And both of those clerks are always on their phones. So unprofessional . I will never come back there . He’s a cool guy. But just the toxic ambiance is a NO for me. Good he’s retiring soon. , those two clerks need to lose their jobs . His tools are also very outdated Maybe that’s why he’s not making money and can’t afford them , It’s because of his staff , no one wants to go there"
"I been going to Dr. g I call him since I was 12 and I'm soon to be 32. He have been one of the best dentist I have ever known. Some people may get bugged out by his personality and his self rants, but that's what makes him different cause regardless he stays foucused on your dental situation. The staff watched me grow up until this day. He has never switched up his staff that's loyalty and dedication a team I understand there is new technology on dental equipment but before all that it was old school dentalist like him had to learn the hard way just to hold them diplomas so don't judge an old soul with great dental work for a misunderstanding check him out."
"The doctor was very rude the moment i said I might have to reschedule ,I ended up doing eval with him and paying for the visit. I am never going to go back there, I don't recommend at all. Paid for the evaluation, waste of money , I ended up with visiting a different dentist."
"Dr. Goldstein is great. I have had several check ups, cavities filled, etc., and he is also super nice, gentle, talked me through the procedure, and gave me his cell phone if I needed anything after hours. His office also called me days after procedures to check in on me. He is a very good dentist and I have always been happy with the results."
