"I have been going to BOTH locations for over 9 years. I recently stopped after the owner gave me a ridiculous price for a cut and color. It was thin ice after gave them a second chance. An inexperienced stylists BURNT all my hair out by overprocessing me. I'm convinced it's race thing and I am black. I just like the way Dominicans do my hair but I won't EVER go back there. The WORST IN EAST ORANGE!"

"I really love this hair salon! 1st time coming here was when I was 11yrs old. The stylist at the time took such good care of me. Never added too much heat to my hair & would even blow dry it on cool, leaving it shiny & smooth. A little more than a decade later, I rediscovered the salon & always get what I ask for (wash, deep conditioner, rollers, trim—they never cut more than need to). My only complain would be the way some customers feel entitled to be taken care of immediately while the stylist are working on others. I think that with a receptionist & a little makeover, it could make things less stressful during busy times. Also, like many Dominican hair salons these stylist speak basic english. If you want something specific you should come prepared w/ details showing what you want (even if you have to google translate)."

"Me & my daughter have been coming to Nina's for 5 yrs, my daughter was 10, now she's 15 and now her hair is in the middle of her back! Clean friendly environment, no drama. And the prices you can't beat. The ladies are super nice & care about your hair. Growing hands for sure"

"Love the experience being as though it was my first time coming here . Clara was very professional and did a great job on my relaxer. I will def come back and have her do my hair. One thing though, next time I'll bring my Bobby pins because they don't use them and if u ask for them, they charge. Never been to a salon that does that but overall, I'll def keep coming here.
