Reviews of Dr. John Pullman, DDS
"My experience with Wyckoff periodontics was not a good one. I came to them with a unique case of a hole that randomly appeared in my gum above my implant. I was referred to them through the oral surgeon that put my implant in. I used Dr. Young. He gave me a bone graft which failed to fix the problem. I came back, and he gave me another bone graft after telling me I was just going to have a small procedure that day that would take 30 min. I was then there for an hour and a half getting a bone graft that I didn't consent to. I had to call out of work the next day as I didn't expect to be getting an oral surgery when I scheduled the appointment. I wasn't given written after care instructions for the second procedure either. A couple months later the hole in my gum appeared again so I emailed them and they never got back to me. I'm very unimpressed with Dr. Young and now have to try and find a different periodontist to fix this mess."
"I have used Dr. Young since 2007. He put 2 implants and I am doing a 3rd. Dr.Young's work is so good that after 14 years my 2 current implants are still perfect! I am so comfortable with his work I chose him again (45 minutes drive each way) for my 3rd. Highly recommend!"
"Had a very poor experience under the care of Dr .Young in Dr.Pullman's practice. At the consultation appointment he could not have been more positive and friendly but after the procedure that had complications and ultimately a failed result from what he and I discussed would be the wanted outcome he turned into a completely different doctor. He never checked on me after bleeding issues in the area that I've never experienced before and when the procedure failed to deliver the outcome he assured me was stacked in my favor he refused to take my calls. I called his office week after week asking for him to please call me to discuss the failed outcome and what I should do next. After 6 phone calls from me to him over the course of 2 months he never once called me back .Finally on principle on my part for his in my opinion very unprofessional behavior I reached out to the office manager who then forced Dr .Young to return my call .I asked him why he wouldn't return any of my calls and he said "I thought you were going to ask for financial compensation " .Just Wow, who says that to a patient!I personally could never recommend Dr.Young to anyone after what I experienced."
"Dr. Young, Dr. Pullman’s partner, inserted an implant incorrectly. Several months after surgery it didn’t heal, the metal part of the implant was sticking through my gum. Then, Dr. Young decided to fix it by transplanting the piece of the tissue from my palate to cover the metal. So it was another painful procedure and again after several months it didn’t heal, because the metal was on the way and my gum simply rejected it. Wasn’t it obvious that when transplanting a tissue, it has to go on another tissue, not on the metal? Then, Dr. Young had to remove the implant – this was the 3rd procedure. And after several months, I had to have the 4th procedure – the insertion of the new implant. After several months, it didn’t heal completely, the part of the gum in the area was still hurting and still hurts now, not saying that aesthetically it looks terrible – this was my front tooth and part of my gum was gone after all these surgeries. In addition, Dr. Young sent me to the general dentist, Dr. Berkhin, who had to place a bridge connecting the new implant with the old one near and the bridge I got doesn’t fit and I can’t chew food properly because I don’t have a proper bite – he was trying to fix this bridge several times, but nothing changed. I asked to see Dr. Pullman hoping he can fix what was done by his partner, but he told me that I have to go through a major gum surgery and it has to be done by another doctor because Dr. Pullman doesn’t do these surgeries. There are more details about questionable ethics of this office, but the story will be too long, so I refrain."
"Professional, polite, and more than anything - knowledgeable. Dr Pullman was great explaining the details and specifics of my gum surgeries, and always followed up with me personally, even over weekends. Joanne and Judy were great working with as well - would not hesitate to go back for any other periodontics needs."
