Great Expressions Dental Centers - Monroe New York

"I was a patient of great expressions for years. I brush my teeth every day and did my 6 month visits. In all the years I went, I never actually saw a dentist. It was the hygienist that did everything and i made the mistake of trusting them. Now I changed dentists due to moving and they notified me that I have periodontal disease which by looking at the xrays should have been picked up years ago by great expressions and it wasn't because no one even looked and no doctor ever saw me. Now I have further treatment to undergo. Great expressions is good for a simple cleaning but I would never recommend them to oral care, maintenance, or health checks. Also beware they try and upsell everything which also shows how much they care(sarcasm)"

"I made an appointment for a filling after my cleaning in Oct. tonight I was told I have 5 cavities and three will probably need RC and crowns! The Dr first comes in to look at my X-rays, tells me the news, which is schocking to me since I’ve always been told good job after every cleaning. Now the Dr wants an x-ray of the same tooth because it was a bite wing that was first taken. The Dr and assistant move to the next”patient “ I’m sitting there a few minutes hit up and asked am I done? The assistant said, oh no I got side tracked! She takes the X-ray, now I’m waiting for the Dr to come back, the assistant says he will tell you what you need… he already did! I left, I made an appointment to come back to start the work, but not feeling good about this set up, where the Dr just hops from one pt. To another!"

"Terrible communication, poor cleaning, and does not have the supplies to perform procedures. Went in for a cleaning and they didn't floss or pick the teeth, they just essentially glossed over the teeth. I brush more throughly than the cleaning. They couldn't do flouride because they were apparently out of it. I was only told this towards the end of the cleaning and another appointment to do it was not covered by insurance. They do not answer phone calls, call back, or check messages. I left a message that I needed to reschedule and could not make my appointment. I then received a call time of the appointment asking where I was and that it wasn't communicated to them that I couldn't make it. I assume I'll be asked to email patientservices, I have done that to no response either."

"This facility can offer you basic customer service and dental cleaning. The minute someone needs additional dental care, Great Expressions will screw it. A client needed a special procedure done, and the facility did not check if this was covered by the insurance. Well, guess who ended up getting a surprised $700 bill in the mail?! Additionally, this facility gives you a referral within its own organization and it is impossible to get someone on the phone to make an appointment at the other office (which is also Great Expression but a different location). The dentist is not compassionate and only follows a script of treatment like most physicians do in the Western hemisphere. The facility is dirty! Lay back and get your theeth clean while looking at a dusty ceiling. Go ahead and spit into the cuspidor that smells like the devil's breath. What is positive about the place? Most dental hygienists are polite, compassionate & do a great job!"

"First time here. I’ve driven by this place for years and just happened to never had insurance that sent me here. Well that changed this year and even though I didn’t see the doctor this visit, everyone I met was very friendly and helpful. I had X-rays and a cleaning done by Abby who was very good at what she does and very nice too! The entire visit was smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciate the care and recommend this location. Thanks yall!"
