"We thought Hank and his crew were honest at first. But when they replaced an additional part without calling me first, they asked me to pay an additional few hundred dollars for it. So I pulled Hank aside and quietly asked, so as not to embarrass him in front of other customers, that in the future to please call first before doing more work than agreed or if anything will be a higher cost than the initial estimate. He agreed, or so I thought. Lo and behold, the next time I went in for a repair and picked up my vehicle after, Hank asked me again to pay more than agreed. To add insult to injury, he also complained about me bringing my vehicle to them to do this repair too. He claimed it was too difficult for them. I asked calmly why did he not call me beforehand or when they realized this like we had agreed last time. I also said I would probably have been alright with it if he had called me first instead of surprising me after the work was done or at least called me in the middle of the job for an update. Hank yelled at me for asking. So Hank brought another mechanic over who then called me rude for simply asking for a little bit of transparency."
