"So it was me and my husbands first time here tonight. We had calamari for our appetizer and it was super delicious and perfect! My husband had the arroz con gandules and boneless chicken chunks. The arroz con gandules didnt taste fresh. It tasted like it was a day old. I had white rice, red beans and boneless chicken chunks. My white rice also tasted like it was a day old. We brought it up the waitress attention. The red beans were great and the boneless chicken chunks were super delicious just like the calamari. If the rice was as tasty as the chicken and calamari, I would've given it a 5 star."

"Jacqueline was so sweet. Great bartender, pleasant and attentive.The food phenomenal. I have had white rice, black beans pork (lechoncito) tostones(fried green plantains) papa relleno ( deep fried potato balls stuffed with beef) AWESOME. The montaditos are Fried green plantains topped with chicken, pork or beef, they are fantastic with the pork. I have had the acapuria, it's deep fried plantains that are filled with beef, they are great. Overall the food is typical Puerto Rican food and it is fabulous. To my fellow Puerto Ricans, if you don't want to cook Capicu is the place for you. The Latin music the staff, the food I give 5 stars. A great experience."

"Tried to give this place a 2nd chance now I'm changing my review to a 1 star. Wish we had to option to do a thumbs down. Both times I've been to this place its been a disappointment but this time was the absolute worst. I walked in to place a Togo order and I specifically asked how the dish was prepared and if the Snapper was cooked in a sauce. I was told "yes and its well seasoned" Received the check and there was an 18% automatic gratuity added to the bill. (This I'm still trying to figure out why????) But I simply paid and tried to go on about my life as I waited for my food. When I received the food, I checked it before leaving. They gave me a dry unseasoned fish. Still can't determine if it was actually snapper because it looked so bad. There was no sauce no veggies, just a dry fish. I also ordered a side of Tostones. Those looked like they tried to find all the leftover pieces they had in the fryer. When I asked about the sauce and expressed that this was nothing like I ordered. The waiter went to the back and brought me out a small container of sauce and said "okay, here you go". Even after explaining to him that it doesn't help the fact that this was not the dish I ordered he went on about his day. I approached the bartender whom I placed the order with and showed her the dish and she just said "oh, I'm sorry" and walked away. No one cared. I decided to make a conscious decision to never return. I threw the food in the trash. Money wasted but I'm sure the owners don't care because it's only about their bottom line. Even if this place is giving away free food, I wouldn't return."

"The food was amazing ! Drinks too. Went on a Sunday night and it was ghost town in there ! I thought they were closed . Nonetheless had a great time. The restaurant is beautiful! With pictures of the greatest Puerto Rican artist displayed proudly on the walls. I definitely want to go back on a Friday or Saturday night to dance!"
