Reviews of Kealoha Sushi & Poke Bowl
"Shumai is excellent! Update: Just had a cucumber avocado roll and it was sooooo good! I love the food here! Everything is so fresh and expertly prepared. Update: Absolutely the best sushi restaurant in the area. So fresh and they don't skimp! The poke bowls are so fresh and filled with ingredients of your choosing. Wonderfully friendly staff. Affordable. Update: The Bento Box is amazing! Wow! So many yummy things in one meal. Shrimp and veggie tempura, California roll, gyoza, rice and a great salad with ginger dressing. All the sauces are yummy. There was so much food i am stuffed! All for $18.00! So lucky to have this sushi/poke restaurant in the neighborhood! Always fresh tuna sashimi and i love their cucumber/avocado rolls. Thin crispy gyoza with a bright delicious dipping sauce. Yum! Very friendly staff. Super fast service. Great place all around."
"So far I’ve had fried oyster, poke bowl, and yellowtail sushi from this place. Enjoyed each one of them immensely. Not only the food is fresh, they tasted delicious! Compared to a few places I’ve tried, price is very comparable to New York pricing. Definitely returning myself and recommending others. Easy street parking if you need to stop in and pick up. If you walk East, there’s a nice park to enjoy your meal. I don’t live in NY but I could definitely seeing this as my routine weekly stop if I do."
"I got it delivered. It was my first pokebowl and I was not disappointed. Fresh ingredients, tasty dressings and toppings and the price is what I expected. I'll probably hit this place twice a month for lunch now that I know. Definitely recommend"
"Average food but good, fast service. Food - average. Not sure if people in this review has had true fresh fish (fresh fish to me is what you get in omakase) but this place uses standard grade sushi fish. Some has a stronger smell and is more mushy (fatty) than others. Portion size is good. The beef don was not bad but most of it was rice. Miso soup was good that came with the Don and dinner entree. Dinner entree with pork katsu was good. Rainbow sushi was average. Not bad but not the best. The tempura appetizer was not good; only the shrimp had flavor but all the vegetables were not seasoned. Would have given 3 stars for food. Service - nice staff. They try to work fast and is attentive. Gave extra star because hostess allow us to dine in with our small dog. Vibe - very small. 3 rows of table for dine in. Busy behind the sushi counter and one hostess. We were the only dine-in party. Small business that is worth supporting. Price - average dish is around $15-20 with lots of option. Not the cheapest but not expensive. I believe people do a lot of takeout because the price is not bad for the area. Portion size is decent for what you pay. Cleanliness - for dine in, they mostly use disposable utensils and plates. Place seemed average clean but it’s so small so you cant expect much. Works wear masks."
"The sushi was so amazing, fresh, and delicious. The prices were also very affordable, but I decided to splurge and get multiple appetizers. The yellowtail jalapeno appetizer was so yummy and it melted in my mouth. The fried oysters were also very good, and they definitely did not skimp on the oyster portion. The salmon was delectable as well."
