Reviews of aRoqa
"The food was fantastic, beautifully presented and visually appealing. I loved the unique Indian flavors, especially the Peach Chutney twist. The service was excellent. I'll definitely return to this restaurant on my next visit to NYC!"
"This has become one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the city. Price: It’s a bit pricey and many of the portions are small for the price but the taste of the food definitely makes up for it. Drinks are also pricey but they are unique. Food: The food is amazing! I highly recommend the Lasuni Gobi and the Vegetable Sweet Potato cutlets as appetizer choices. For entrée, we usually get the Dal Makhani and the Palak Paneer. The Okra special is also really good and I thought the Butternut Squash ke Kofte were unique and different. Overall the food here is very tasty, well seasoned, and a nice balance. Also, I’m not usually an Indian dessert person but aRoqa really knows how to make them and we always end up getting 2-3 desserts because of how delicious they are. Service: Everyone is so friendly and open to answer any questions. They check on you often and service is quick. Ambiance: The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a tasteful way. Everything seems to go together and they have even spent time figuring out the best dishware to serve the food in. The bar is classy and elegant. It’s a good pick for date night or even a group dinner. Instagram: @TheShahLALand"
"I have not stopped talking about how creative this restaurant is with its food presentation. I ordered the paneer appetizer and it came out with these little pipettes with tamarand sauce and a hot sauce. It was not only beautiful and delicious, it was fun to eat! Traditional Indian dishes are not easy to display, but they took the time to create uniqueness The choice of silverware, dishes and the use of flowers on top of the sauces. Bravo!"
"There are many great things to say about this place. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We had different waitresses coming and making sure we were all doing okay, even if they weren’t our personal waitress. The food was delicious, we got full very quickly. I will say there is a lot of spice in the food but the flavor balances it out. The atmosphere & the vibe of the place was great. The service really did top it off. Would definitely recommend!"
