Fushimi Williamsburg

"I went with friends for my bday Feb 3. We had happy hour at the bar then dinner. Took lots of fun pictures...Yuan was our server. He's so attentive and on point.. he was great. I enjoyed the cocktails and food. The short rib was excellent!!!! The crabcake was yummy. Fried rice with shrimp and chicken!!! My friends had a variety of Sushi. They brought out a chocolate lava cake and ice cream for me. I really enjoyed every bit of my birthday dinner. Will surely be back. Thank you"

"We celebrated my daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday here on Saturday, 1/13/24. The setting was beautiful. My daughter and her guests had fun. However, the overall experience wasn’t exactly pleasant. When I made the initial reservation for her birthday dinner, which included my daughter and 10 guests, I added a drink package that just included water, juice, and soda. We discussed the alcohol package for the adults and was advised by the manager at the time that I would be able to upgrade/add the other drink package which would have alcohol included, on the day of. When we arrived for dinner, the manager that assisted with the reservation was not there. I was told to speak to Eric, the owner/manager. I told him that we decided that we wanted to upgrade the drink package. He advised me that I could no longer make changes as the 48 hours had passed. Therefore, I would have to open a new tab - despite being told something else prior. Not wanting to be difficult,my husband, my sister and I went to the bar and purchased drinks from the happy hour menu. Eric’s ego caused him to missed out on the $44 x 10 (amt of guests). That was his decision. We moved on and tried to make the best of the night as it was my daughter‘s birthday celebration. There was a weird staring contest with Eric, where he just stared at my husband, my sister and I. As the evening progressed, it was time for us to sing happy birthday. I gathered the adults that were seated at the bar and everyone gathered at the table. While we were singing happy birthday, the bartender that waited on us at the bar came barging through the gathering at the table and in the midst of us singing happy birthday she proceeded to wave the bill from the bar in my husband’s face stating that he didn’t pay the bill! Apparently, she closed his tab for him. Her boss (Eric) told her to follow us to ensure that we didn’t skip out on our tab. Even though we obviously had a dinner tab that ultimately had to be paid as well. Did they really think we were trying to skip out on our bar tab??? Really? I’m not sure where they thought we were going especially when we went further inside the restaurant, and not towards the exit. It was the most the most inappropriate thing to do. They didn’t see us as patrons for some reason they treated us like some kind of a threat. We could have received that kind of treatment from any two or three star restaurant. To me, the experience wasn’t worth it. I still appreciate the fact that my daughter enjoyed making memories with her friends but I prefer to spend my money elsewhere."

"A very exciting atmosphere very busy and full of large parties. I sat by the sushi bar and loved every second of it! Sushi is fresh and the lobster roll specialty was my favorite. Oysters were fresh, loved the presentation. Perfect for date night"

"Fushimi has been on my bucket list since they opened up their Time Square location. We were attracted by the brilliant decor with authentic Japanese scene. However, we passed by their Williamsburg location and decided to give their lunch set with reasonable price a try. The decor at their Williamsburg location is also brilliant with romantic ambiance. I had their Lunch Set with Chirashi Box selection. It came with soup, salad and appetizer which the portion was amazingly great with reasonable price of $24. My roommate who is 100% a meat lover tried their 35 Day Dry-aged Prime NY Strip Steak. It was impressively delicious with soft texture and great flavor."

"This is a great sushi spot, with a variety of different options to choose from, including vegetarian and dietary restrictions. The cost for two people, plus sake and dessert, was just around $100 with the tip included. The ambiance has more of a club setting with house music when I was there, but it was not overpowering or distracting to have a normal conversation. Had a great time, and I will return the eel with cucumber roll was my favorite."
