Reviews of Paul Stuart
"The lack of quality is their downfall. I’ve never owned a Paul Stuart suit that didn’t fall apart in one way or another — whether it’s pants ripping under the mildest pressure or seams tearing or whatnot. In fact, with the last item I bought from them I got home, noticed the lining was ripped, and just said “to heck with it,” because if I took it back for them to repair it would just end up ripped again soon anyways. (It was at that point I gave up on buying anything from them.) If we were talking about $300 suits sold out of Chinatown that’d be fine — you get what you pay for. But we are not. We are talking about suits that run easily into the thousands of dollars. The quality has to be worth the cost. They do look nice. I’ll give them that. But I’m not buying a suit to sit in my closet — I’m buying it to wear. And wearing these suits is a gamble every time; they’re just not very well made."
"Had time yesterday to visit the renewed and enthusiastic Paul Stuart's in NYC. Margaret Urbina was a perfect host answering all questions. Enjoyed the quality and selection of clothing. Recommend you spend time seeking out the perfect item. Best wishes."
"used to buy all shirts and ties over the years at the beautiful and very well staffed location on Madison Ave. Moved out of NYC and realized their online customer service is virtually non-existent. After responsibly returning an order, they did not send the exchange order - just stopped communicating and you can't get anyone on the phone. Had to rely on Amex to refund my money. Done shopping here."
"They have good collection but my shopping experience there was worst of my life. Particularly customer service need some training in customer service I felt hostile there. The minute I walked in store one rep started shadowing me giving notorious look like he is watching as I am going to steel something and I think he was assuming I am just there for window shopping after several minutes I asked him for sizes and he was rushing me like I am wasting his time assuming sizes don’t gonna work. Moreover I was about to walk out of here but liked some stuff and asked him put it on side at this time he started treating me little better I don’t know if it’s just NYC boutique store where lot of people just walk into check stuff even if it’s true that’s why the store is there so Ppl can come and browse if they like something then they buy. The other side I feel rep was Kinda racist and their work environment has no customer service vibe this was my first experience with them in store I have shopped with them before online but my personal in store experience was horrible so I decide I may not shop with them in future. I advise if you walk in be mindful you may get bad treatment."
"This is the Alice In Wonderland of clothiers that I just stumbled upon quite by accident this rainy afternoon. Upon entering the store the first person to greet me was the well-mannered and friendly Shelley Bruce, who was kind enough to unfold some really nice shirts for me to try on at my leisure. I want to point out here that stores that are accommodating generally have the most success in making the sale. Shelley went way and above, unfolding the neatly displayed shirt that I wanted to try on, removing the tissue paper and pins that held the shirt together. I tried it on in the changing room, liked it, came out and saw an even better and much more expensive shirt that I had to have no matter what!!!! She then put the first shirt back together, went through the trouble of unpacking the second option and after I tried it on I knew I had a hit on my hands. In short, I was able to choose a shirt that made me happy because Paul Stuart makes the shopping experience effortless, thanks to the likes of amazing individuals like Shelly who tirelessly work there. The store itself has vast arrays of high end clothing on display from jackets, coats, shirts and neckties to shoes, all housed in a huge space that you can pleasantly get lost in. This is a highly recommended place to shop at."
