"Great location specially for something that you need fast with ok selection. I thought I would have gotten better customer service for the last two times I was there given that it is local and pricy but the service was not very good unfortunately."
"A family owned business for fifty-three years located in the heart of downtown Jersey City. We love Jersey City where we were born and grew up. Our purpose is to continue to provide generations of wonderful loyal customers with merchandise and service in a caring inviting hip enviroment."
"They do sell a lot of nice stuff but they don't do refunds or exchange. I brought a pair of sandals for my daughter and they fell apart right the first time she had them on. I tired to return or exchange them and they said they can't do anything about it. And all I could do is to call the company and try to echange the sandals with them. So I called Birkenstock and they said if the store is an authorized seller they have to exchange the shoes for me. So after I spoke with her, I went back to the store. The manager was extremely rude and started yelling at me if I can't read that there is a sign no refunds and exchanges. I couldn't believe he was fighting with me for 30$ kiddie shoes! How can a manger treat customers like that? They should have this in their policy or acknowledge customers about it. I don't recommend buying shoes in this store!! Stay away! Taylor, let me correct you. You were not a by standing person but a retailer at the store! I came in the morning and I respected you and the other retailer told me to call Birkenstock. I really never had an issue with exchanging items even to the local stores and I do shop a lot. I called the company and the manager of Birkenstock told me, what you said to me it's not right and you as an authorized seller HAVE TO exchange the sandals for me, she said to go back and that she will call the store. Soon as I entered the store, the manager went off being rude and having attitudes. He asked what did I expect from 30$ sandlas! Than why do you even sell them in first place? This is clearly not how you talk to customers. I have been working with people for many years, retails, banking, investment and I can't imagine talking to customers like that, I wouldn't get too far in life treating people like that. I hope this review will influence the decision of people if to buy shoes in this store or not. I'm trying to help people to avoid situations like this and there are many other local stores in Jersey city that treat their customers with respect."
"Morlee's is a great local shop that has done a great job with the merchandise that they have in the store currently. As the times have changed, so has the inventory, but after over fifty years of business, it's clear that they know what they're doing to keep the clientele coming back. People who are seemingly upset with the customer service given at this location need to remember that this is a local business that may or may not adhere to some of the return/refund/exchange rules that apply to other larger and more corporate businesses. I was a bystander/customer to the situation described below by the reviewer upset by the sandals, and quite frankly, if you enter someone's place of business and act entitled and or angry off the bat with the person you're hoping to clear up a situation with, the results may not be completely to your liking. All in all, Morlee's is a wonderful place to shop and the owners are wonderful people who have nothing but love and respect for the community of Jersey City. Keep shopping local and being friendly to your neighborhood businesses! :)"
"Great local downtown Jersey City business. Has a wide variety of sneakers, boots, and apparel. I went here for a good rain jacket for my trip to Portland. Staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back."
