"This is for the Street Talk kiosk that is in front of Banana Republic. If I could give less then 1 star I would. Brought my iPhone 11 Pro Max here for a screen repair after Apple advised that there would be a 4+ hour wait just to enter the store (WHAT A MISTAKE). As I pondered about what to do with my phone within the area of the kiosk I was immediately approached by a overly energetic individual wearing a fake Breitling watch that spoke faster then his own mind could comprehend. Basically what I was able to understand from this “employee” after deciphering his words to the best of my ability was that the phone screen was repairable for a fee of around $280.00. Based on the poor reputation of aftermarket screen repairs, I inquired as to what would happen if the screen replacement was to be defective and the touch accessibility did not work. The response from Street Talk was that they would not charge me for the screen and labor which was the original fee of $280.00. At that point I agreed to have the screen replaced. Fast forward 20 minutes, I return to my phone with a new after market screen. For anyone who doesn’t know anything about after market screen replacement, the newer iPhones lose their True Tone screen feature once an after market screen is put on. I took my phone and discovered this to be true which was no big deal I just wanted the phone to be in working condition which it was at the time of receiving it. I paid the fee and was on my way. After getting the phone back I had to turn it on and off multiple times due to the fact that the touch screen was acting out and opening/closing applications without even being touched. Finally after finding some stability, I placed the phone on my computer desk next to my bed and that’s where it remained until the next day. At that time, I observed the screen to be disconnected from the actual frame of the phone after sitting over night on my desk. The screen had also lost all it touch ability and was completely useless. At that point I returned to my service provider (Verizon) and basically paid off the broken phone in full to upgrade to another phone for around $1000.00. I returned to Street Talk with the phone that was serviced and requested that the screen be replaced after they provided me with a faulty screen. Once again the fake watch wearing lunatic that speaks faster then he can actually think approaches me and assists me. From here I advise him of the issue that occurred. After looking at my phone he continuously states that it’s my fault the screen doesn’t work and repeatedly kept saying the terms “physical damage” while tapping hardly down on the screen of the phone. At this moment I just wanted to fix the screen so that I could transfer all the memory off of it to my new phone. After arguing with the employee who kept blaming me for the “physical damage” to the phone, I requested for the phone with the original after market screen to just be reattached other then providing me with a new screen. This time while they worked on the phone I stood by and observed every detail. While standing at the counter, multiple other customers were returning phones that had been worked on by this business and were stating that their phones were working worse then when they initially brought it to them. While watching the employees toss my phone back and forth like a game of hot potato, I observed one of the employees continuously take the screen of the phone off with a razor and then press it back together with his fingers. The manager “Sam” stated that the “physical damage” to the phone is usually caused by immense pressure on the screen. I watched as this employee squeezed the screen of my phone like a vice with his bare hands across the entire center screen and it’s corners. (Let it be known that the corner of the screen had damage after they originally replaced the screen) Long story short they had to glue the screen down with crazy glue and they handed it to me saying “that’s the best your going to get.” They then tried offering to buy the phone from me for resale."
"Worst service in my life. I went to get a glass screen protector. The screen was tilted and a few bubbles in the inside. The guy with long hair and a beard was threatening me to pay or else he was going to call the cops. I took the glass screen protector off and he broke the screen protector in half and was still demanding for me to pay for it. I have never seen such a rude person like this working in customer service. He has anger issues. I will never buy anything there again."
"Shoutout to Sam for hooking up my cracked iPhone. It looks brand new and I can now boldly use my phone. I’m grateful for the service. If you are looking for a place with great, quality please service look no further. I’ll be back!"
"Find somewhere else to fix your phone. Shortly after my screen replacement the screen would press random buttons, when I put the phone up to my ear on a call it would press random buttons, phone would lock by itself whenever, does not accept chargers 90% of the time, and the replaced screen has a strange tint which is very different from the original. Would strongly recommend to NOT come here."
"I usually never write a review on places, but after my experience I feel like I need to. The owner Serkan was extremely nice, and he was very helpful with my situation. They replaced my tempered glass and it was a great price! Serkan kept his word and stood by his product, which to me is how you run a great business. Great place to get your phone fixed!"
