"Wife loves this place, just purchased New Year's Eve decorations. Some of the smaller items should be 2/3 for $1. Good variety though."
"I've been coming here for years. I always find cute things. Nice store, great stuff!"
"I want to start by saying I’m a frequent shopper at this location, but I was very unhappy with my last balloon purchase. I bought two large foil balloons from Just a Buck in Pompton Lakes for a surprise 60th birthday party. Upon arriving at the store to pick up my balloon order at 11:00 am, both balloons looked normal. However, after about an hour and a half, the balloons fell completely flat to the floor. I’ve never had something like this happen to me with helium filled balloons when purchasing them at this location, or at any other store that sells them for that matter. If I was able to go exchange them at the store right away I would’ve done so, but unfortunately that wasn’t an option for me. I immediately took a picture of both balloons laying on the floor to show the time stamp of how quickly they stopped floating. Both balloons were still completely filled (with what I’m not sure), and there were absolutely no holes. A few days later, I brought my concern to the store in person. The gentleman who works at the store was very nice and helpful, as he always is. He spoke to his boss on the phone, who later asked to speak with me. I explained what happened again, informing the owner that I always shop here, I live in town, and this has never happened before. The owner told me that this has never happened before, and that no one else who picked up balloon orders that day called to complain. I replied, I’m not sure if this was because the balloons were filled the night before I picked them up, or if this is a result of a defect in the balloons or with the helium, but whatever it was was a giant waste of money. Even though this is a dollar store, these balloons are $10.00 each before tax and helium. I kindly asked the owner if he would refund me to which he replied, “No ma’am, I can not. I would have to speak with my suppliers first, and show them your picture.” He went on to explain that this wouldn’t get done today, and I would have to come back to the store at another time. In my opinion, customers shop local to see the stores in their town thrive, instead of going to larger stores such as Party City, but if these local stores are unable to provide you with appropriate customer service and solutions to issues that larger companies don’t have, it’s no longer worth it to shop local. Long story short, I paid approximately $30 for two helium filled foil balloons that floated for less than 2 hours, and we’re allegedly filled that morning when the store opened at 9:00 am. The owner was completely useless, and I won’t be going back. Save your money and go elsewhere, because this shopping experience was nothing but a headache."
"Decent 1.25$ store, not really a dollar store some things are as high as 7$ but ok not a deal breaker. They would not allow my 12 yo daughter in cause she’s not 13 seems a bit ridiculous so I came down to go in with her so she could buy school supplies for a school project, I guess her money wasn’t green enough!! Money is only good when accompanied by an adult it appears. Personally this store was excellent 3 years ago, now I’d rather shop at dollar tree on rt23 at least everything is what they say “1.25$”. So the “beyond” part must mean more money, except for minors."
"This is essentially a dollar store, though there are some items that cost more. The more expensive items will stand out because they are priced on the products themselves. The store offers a good selection of everything from kitchen and decorative items to hardware and candy. However, this store is very crowded, and by that I mean that the items on the floor can make it difficult to pass others in the aisles. very friendly guy working there - not sure why he looks like a robot with money but I think he says it loud that you gave him $20 dollars."
