"We visited here last Wednesday with a small group from our community. Everyone was pleased with their lunch. I ordered the cod dinner off the special menu and kit came with a salad and two sides. It was delicious! My husband had the petite filet dinner which he thoroughly enjoyed. The waitress was excellent and the restaurant is large and very nice."

"There's a reason why the Crab Trap often has a 30+ minute wait that people are happy to wait for. The food, drinks, and service here are phenomenal. The soups are absolutely delicious and I highly recommend starting your dining experience with one of them. As far as the menu goes, it is expensive and I've never had a bad meal here. Definitely try the clams casino, you will not be disappointed. The 2nd Mate is always my favorite item on the menu as it gives you so many different options to get and is at a very reasonable price. The crab imperial has also been a solid choice for another seafood option. If you like veal, try the Veal Maryland. My wife loves the muscles and the fresh bread they bring is perfect for dipping in the sauce. If you haven't been here yet, go. If you have, then you know. This place is amazing!"

"The Crab Trap Restaurant is an absolute staple at the Jersey Shore that consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. I recently had the pleasure of dining there and was thoroughly impressed by every aspect of my visit. The food was nothing short of outstanding. We had their prime rib, Alaskan king crab legs, and shrimp cocktail, and each dish was a culinary masterpiece. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The Alaskan king crab legs were a seafood lover's dream, succulent and sweet. The shrimp cocktail was enormous! The Crab Trap has always provided a lively atmosphere. The bar area with dancing adds an element of entertainment that enhances the overall experience. Now, it's worth noting that The Crab Trap is so popular that you may have to wait for a table, sometimes up to an hour. However, let me assure you that every minute of that wait is worth it. So my advice is get there very early and you will still wait but only for a few minutes. Make sure you plan ahead"

"They don't take reservations,and there is always a wait. But it is well worth it. Food is excellent, prices not bad at all. Service was great, and it didn't take long from our appetizers to the salad to the meal. I got the halibut special,which was phenomenal. My husband got the flounder with crabmeat. He really enjoyed it. Did I mention that at dinner, they have great rolls and blueberry muffins in the bread basket. We sat near the bar, and they had a band that was a little loud, but otherwise great experience, and I can't wait to go back."
