"Just finished an amazing dinner for my family. From meat eaters to vegans, Foodies prepared so many great choices- veggie lasagna, cauliflower steaks, and london broil-with 3 great salads, the best of 3 catered dinners on LBI Totally recommend!!!"
"A multitude of pastries and lots of gluten free options. It is all sitting out though; nothing is covered. I cannot figure out how everything could possibly be fresh because of the variety, but they say it’s made every day. The crumb cake looked delicious but the cake part was super oily. The açaí bowls were disappointing bc they were very icy and served melty, and they are $15 each plus extra for protein, but maybe that is not the focus of the spot. The tuna and other salads looked crusted over from sitting for a long time, like they look at a shoddy grocery store. The sodas and teas are about $6 each. Parking is really tricky. It’s probably great for catering bc there is so much variety and the pastries do look tasty."
"The place is very hit or miss. Some of the food was pretty tasty with the Cuban Wrap as the highlight. However, many of the things we got, ex. chicken salad, had this very gross freezer, plasticy taste. It was so bad I ended up throwing it out. This flavor was also in a pizza I purchased. The taste was how an old freezer smells. It was quite vile, yet unique. Also, upon entering the establishment, you notice there is a ton of food that sits out on shelves and behind glass. I cannot help but wonder how long something sits out before it is deemed inedible. I would suggest focusing on less dishes so nothing sits out for too long because the food does suffer. The gluten free snack options were plentiful and rare, especially on the island. I will say, the coffee cake was splendid."
"Do not like leaving a less-than-positive review. However, i rely heavily on reviews and suspect others do as well. Two of us visited today to pick up some lunch and take to eat at beach. Sis ordered a pork roll and cheese sandwich. Was told to go 'pick out a roll'. We looked to find the breads/rolls just sitting out in the open for people to grab (odd at best). I selected a pre-made lettuce taco from the cold case. Outrageously priced, but we expected that as it goes with the territory on LBI. Price is okay if the food matches it. However, the porkroll sandwich had exactly TWO paper thin slices of pork roll on it. My lettuce taco was not bad until I realized the chicken was raw/undercooked. We returned to speak to someone about this and there was no one at the counter and i waited a good 10=15 minutes and no one appeared. Other customers came in and waited and then turned around and left. I could no longer wait for someone to appear and decided to leave and share my experience here. We were quite disappointed in our overall experience. (The desserts, however, looked fantastic!)"
"I stopped into Foodies on a very nice July afternoon and was very pleased at all the snack foods they had available. They have a lot of high quality desserts and brownies! Yummmy!"
