Costello's Pizzeria & Wings

"I'm 49, grew up in an Italian neighborhood, been eating and making pizza most of my life, and I can honestly say that this is the first time I've ever had a slice of pizza that literally had no flavor whatsoever. In the display case there was this amazing looking white pizza loaded with broccoli and grilled chicken, so I ordered a slice to go. Never saw the actual slice as I stepped away from the counter briefly and then just handed a box with the slice after I paid. When I got home I opened the box to reveal a slice with a sprinkling of very small broccoli pieces on the bottom and 4 to 5 slices of tomato strewn on top, like what?! I still expected it to be delicious though, as my experience with white pie has always been favorable - always tasty, garlicy, yummy. Now, we all now mozzarella to be a pretty bland cheese, so you need a little somethin' somethin' to give it some taste. There was no ricotta, surprisingly, and even more surprising not a hint of garlic, oregano, basil, not even a trace of salt, pepper, garlic powder, nothing! The broccoli and tomato didn't even have any flavor! It was like eating a napkin. Lol. Gave the place 3 stars because my daughter said her slice of plain cheese was good and the service was pleasant and quick. At least the slices are large!"

"I have been ordering for a large family from Costello's in smithville occasionally for many years. On a good day the food is excellent. The problem is about every 3rd order or so the food is poor to the point it ruins our family dinner. Example: cold pizza with stale crust and barely any toppings and buffalo tails that are very dry and tough with no sauce to name a couple. I expect more for spending an average of $100 an order."

"Come here for the WORST pizza you’ll EVER have. We order the buffalo pizza and the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese, both were disgustingly sweet, we could not eat either so both ended up in the trash. An absolute waste, DO NOT COME HERE. The pictures look great but the food is inedible. You’ll spend $27 for a picture and nothing more. We threw everything away and went somewhere else to eat."
