"I usually don’t take the time to write reviews . I am compelled to dispel the negative comments about the McLaughlin store in Bayhead, NJ . Firstly, I prefer to support small businesses. I like the personal service and in person experience . More importantly, I have found every one who works there (Susan, Eileen, Gina) to be beyond helpful . They have gone over and above ordering items not in the store stock for myself as well as for numerous Christmas gifts, which they gladly boxed and beautifully wrapped . I will continue to be a loyal customer and hope the previously posted negative comments do not dissuade others from shopping here . Patricia M."

"unfortunately we were greeted by pure rudeness today that not only is a bad reflection on your store but also new Jersey. my poor niece was visiting from georgia and innocently used the restroom and was aggressively attacked for doing so when she came out and for not knowing it wasn't a public bathroom. really? way to make customers feel welcome. it was appalling and I will never shop there again. if I could give zero stars I would."

"If I could give zero stars I would. The clerk working on Wednesday 7/5 afternoon was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in my life. Unfortunately, no amount of cute clothing could make up for her poor attitude. She made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable in what should be a nice store. Cannot recommend shopping here in good faith. Best of luck to that clerk, I hope she finds happiness soon."

"Cashier was EXTREMELY rude. I was looking around the store at items and noticed the bathroom door was open so I quickly used the restroom, washed my hands, and exited. There was no visible sign that the restroom was unable to be used as the door was wide open beside the open dressing area. When I exited the restroom, the cashier proceeded to be extremely rude and condescending. As I am from out of state having never visited this store and with the bathroom door open with no sign that the restroom wasn't allowed for customers, I assumed it was allowed to be used by shopping customers (I apologized for multiple times as I had assumed incorrectly, only to be met with rolling eyes and an extremely rude attitude). Had I not been met with such a pretentious and judgmental attitude, I would have continued shopping and purchased items. I've never been treated with such little regard. A bit of grace or understanding would have been appreciated as I apologized multiple times. I would give my experience 0/5 if possible."
