"Mom found a hair in her pretzel and it ain't hers"
"Had such an amazing, spiritual experience the other day! My Venmo card wouldn't go thru and as I went to grab Cash, a lovely woman came up and paid for my coffee and smoothie! I told her to come by "Hair It Is" salon and ask for Tina (me) so I could take repay her kindness! As I turned around, another employee offered me a cup holder, but the third cup I had was just ice so I declined, then a young man turned around and walked ahead to grab both doors for me! While in the moment, I just found myself embarrassed because it's hard for me to accept help from people and my "friend" was in the parking lot, he didn't notice to come in and help me... later that night, that friend gave me hard time and left me stranded and abandoned taking off with my belongings in his truck.... But I remembered what happened to me at this Wawa earlier that day- and all of a sudden I saw it as the universe's way of letting me know I'd be okay! That as long as I continue to live authentically and with compassion, the universe has got my back! -he did come back eventually, but I grabbed my purse and cell and kept walking!"
"I had the most unpleasant experience one day . I came in to purchase a beverage. I informed the cashier that the price was marked lower than the item was ringing up. She explained she couldn’t do anything about it .I requested to speak to a manager . I know that from prior experience, when an item is marked lower than the price is actually ringing up , the manager is able to override the price and make an adjustment . The item was clearly marked 2.39. (0.30 cents cheaper) The cashier goes to get another employee who claimed to be a manager . When I asked her name she stated “ Christina “ I asked to see her name tag which was conveniently covered by a Wawa jacket . I asked that she please show me her name tag to me and she refused “ stating that she did not have to show me her name tag “I informed her that all the other employees working around her all had their name tags clearly displayed . ( as per company policy) after the blatant defiance , I walked over to another employee working in the store and asked her the name of the young lady that I had just spoken to and she stated Christina … however when I asked what Christina’s position at the store was , the other employee didn’t get a chance to respond because “ Christina walked up behind me so fast and interjected in a loud manner “ do you want the teas??” demanding to know if I wanted to purchase the drinks . I told her I didn’t appreciate her getting so close to my face or the tone in which she was speaking to me .It was almost as if she were trying to make a scene in front of the other customers. She was way too close for comfort for me. Another employee at the front register stated that Christina was actually. A supervisor , not a manager . Very different from what she told me . My issue is not so much the fact that the associate refused to honor the posted price , but that her manner in which she was speaking to me was not professional and she was so uncooperative when I asked to see her name badge after the incident occurred . I have shopped at this wawa for over 6 years . I make at least 10 or more trips to this location a week and my 5 other family members shop here regularly as well. I have never dealt with this kind of disrespect before ever . This particular wawa has had some of the most pleasant associates and it’s been a joy to come here . But the experience I had today was totally uncalled for and I felt Wawa should know how one of their employees mishandled the situation. What occurred today really put a bad taste in my mouth .I am extremely disappointed that Wawa has a person like Christina working as a supervisor because she did not display how a person in a leadership role should conduct herself when confronted with a customer issue. It was quite apparent that that young lady needs some proper training on how to handle a situation such as mine and how NOT to confront customers . I worked for a convenient store years ago, so I’m quite familiar with standard company policy when it comes to dealing with an unhappy customer . You should never get in a customers face or talk to them in an antagonizing manner . I’m pretty sure Wawa has a similar policy about how to deal with certain situations and how to de-escalate them to prevent an even more hostile situation . The way Christina acted was totally uncalled for and there was no need to blow things out of proportion the way she did .one would think the extra .30 was coming out of her pocket . It’s not wise and certainly not safe, especially in the world we live in today . Wouldn’t it have been much simpler to adjust the price of the item rather than make such a big deal & making sure I wasn’t given the price that was clearly posted ??? Sincerely , a very unhappy customer ."
"The Wawa on Hurffville Crosskeys Rd in Sewell is great! The staff are friendly in the morning and always helpful. The food is delicious and quick when you're on the go."
"Burnt cheese on an everything bagel which didn’t even look like an everything bagel barely anything on it. The other lady that was in the back couldn’t even make me what I asked for like other wawas do. It’s just like making a sizzling bagel but with a different bagel and no meat. How hard is that? It’s not hard at all, so the other lady had to make it and in between ringing customers so now my cheese was burnt and tasted horrible. Never again!"
