Reviews of The Black Swan
"We were in Asbury Park visiting the Paranormal Museum and needed a place to eat. We saw Black Swan while finding a place to park so wanted to check it out. We saw Scottish eggs on the menu and decided we needed to try them. The decor is nice - a bit of pub with touches of elegance. It's dark, and it's loud, but it adds to the experience. The servers were friendly and accommodating. Needless to say, we ordered the Scottish eggs and we were definitely pleased with them! They were cooked perfect. The yolk was runny and they were the best we've had from a restaurant. It's rare to see them in a menu, let alone cooked well. The potato bites were great also. The French onion soup was also tasty. We got the burgers for our entrees and they were really good. Nice flavor, cooked as we requested. I am really glad we stopped in this trip and will probably make it our go-to when we're in the area."
"The Black Swan is one of Asbury Park's best restaurants. I was so very impressed with everything here. The atmosphere and decor is great. You are transported to a magical garden where the outside world ceases to exist allowing you to delve completely in your dining experience. The drinks taste great and look even better. I can't stress enough how important of an impact a beautiful drink has. And the food is fantastic. As an appetizer we shared the baked brie, which was yummy. For lunch I had the Chicken Tikka Masala and it was to die for. The velvety sauce was flavored with warm spices. The chicken was cooked perfect. It was juicy and rich. Just a great meal overall. I would definitely go back."
"The Black Swan was fantastic! We hosted my daughter's engagement celebration here, and I cannot say enough about the food and the staff, super professional attentive and accommodating. It is a beautiful atmospher, and we enjoyed the tea room for our event. Very private and pretty."
"I made a reservation for noon and the hostess was very nice and led me to my table. The whole floral theme is pretty cool. I started off with BACON CHEDDAR TOTS which was very good the sour creme dip that came with it was bit hard like it was froze still other that it was good. My main course was the black swan buger with beer battered onion rings. That was also good the bun and toppings were fresh and the burger tasted good and was still juicy. Overall it was very good. My only gripe was the website says they open at 11 a.m. but that's not right they actually open at noon on Saturday. But that can be fixed it seems that the staff is aware that the website is wrong"
"I went here for my birthday. I tried the Pimm cocktail, which was very good and tastes like peach iced tea. My dining partner had a beer on tap. For dinner, I had the shepherd's pie, which was truly delicious. My dining partner had the burger, which had an interesting sauce on it that was very good. We were seated in the front of the restaurant facing the street, and we liked the bird theme. I want to go back again for happy hour."
