Reviews
"Went out with family and just had a great time. Yes it’s outdated, we had red solo cups with plastic tablecloths but the food is amazing. Nice size portions Although they were very busy, food came out in a reasonable amount of time."
"We used to come here’s to celebrate birthdays when we’re kids, good memories.."
"Somehow they figured out a way to remove my review. I attached it. It used to be a decent Chinese kosher place. We loved the sesame chicken and beef sticks. We used to burn the place down with the poopoo platter. Since they actually responded to my review I feel they near a fair shot here. If you call it sesame chicken the main ingredient needs to be chicken not batter. Care a Lil more. Better ingredients would help. Raise the price and offer a higher quality product and I think people would pay more. They'll complain but they'll still pay more. Go look at salt. This place has it's run it needs a Lil TLC. I appreciate the effort. Do it do not Located on the garbage incinerator, it's going to be a tough sell maybe just stick to it. More chicken. Lol"
"Poor first impression. We entered and.saw people eating on paper plates and using plastic ware. We.saw that the nicer dining room had real plates and.silverware. I asked.the manager why and.he said.due to covid he can't find a dishwasher. Then I touched the soy sauce bottle and it was filthy and my hand stuck to it. The back table was.where the manager was sitting and it was filthy. This was.very telling of.what to expect.with the food.so.we quickly left."
"Much has been said about Chang Mao Sakura over its rich 15 year history. This two-space Kosher Chinese restaurant is of the best (if not the only) in the area. Some locals have described it as the "best Chinese place in the world," still others have described it as a place to hold your nose in the parking lot due to smell. Regardless, if you are craving some good old fashioned Americanized Chinese food that won't break the bank, this is it. My wife gives me a pass to come here once every summer, and I gladly take it! This place is generally no reservations necessary, but it can get very full in summer months on the weekends. The paintings inside give it a calm ambiance, to juxtapose against a usually rowdy and disrespectful crowd. The staff works hard to turn tables quickly, and they are no nonsense. You should know what a pu-pu platter is by now. You should know to specifically ask for water. You should know that the "spaghetti with marinara sauce" option on the menu is never available. "We have no tomato" said one waiter. There's always lots of yelling in the kitchen. The bathrooms may not in the best shape, and I could have sworn my chicken tasted undercooked. That all said, they are generally consistent and reliable. The sesame chicken is always super crunchy, and flavors are on point. Beef lo mein is nicely garlicly. Love the fortune cookies!"
