"My friends and I have come here a few times and its always okay. Sometimes we wait an hour to sit sometimes we sit immediately. Sometimes the service has been very attentive snd agreeable, other times its been quick and curt. Food is alright but the specials make up for it because they allow for an adequate amount of food at a good price. Would not recommend any mixed drinks they are very light and expensive, stick to the beers."

"This applebees was very understaffed. My poor waiter had half the restaurant and ended up with a 20-person table. If you are going for sports and drinks, then this is your place. The manager was very keen on ensuring the football games were on, which is great. However, considering the food is not top tier, you would expect service to be. The wait was short, which is great, and the queso was delicious. The waiter was very, very helpful when he could be, and we left him a 25% tip accordingly. I suggest better staffing."

"I just went there with my family. We waited 50 minutes for a table. The host came and apoligized that they were really busy. We understood they were busy. After the long wait, we were seated. For at least 15 minutes we saw waiters walking by us and did not took our order or at least the drinks. Poor service, poor management. If you are short staffed, then close the door or do not take more clients. This is disrespectful!"

"“This is the best Applebees!” Said by NO ONE EVER. This place follows some backwards logic. This place will be at 40% capacity and they’ll tell you it’s gonna an hour wait for a group of FOUR. Then when they realize you’re resilient and won’t be scared off they’ll seat you in 5 minutes. They just seem to never want any business. They somehow also charge for a SIDE OF SAUCE. The only thing that could have made this dining experience worse is if they started charging for the air we breathe in this joint. If you're looking for quality food and service, you're better off going somewhere else. I’ve decided to write a poem inspired by my experiences here at Manalapan Applebee’s. “In search of good food, we roamed And stumbled upon a place called Applebee's, But alas, it left us feeling alone In a sea of mediocrity and fees. Oh, Applebee's, what can I say? Your logic is twisted in every way. At 40% full, you make us wait an hour, Only to seat us in five, your power. And let's not forget your love for the fee, For a side of sauce, a cost that we see. What's next? Charging for air we breathe? For quality food and service, we must leave. Your ambiance, well, it's lacking, you see, Dimly lit, with plastic plants, not meant to be. So, Applebee's, we must decline, For quality and service, we'll seek, we'll find. Farewell to you, and your backwards ways, Our money and taste buds, better spent on TGI Friday’s.” The servers are great tho ngl."
