"Food is always good and service is good. I have found that the issues I previously had are no longer a problematic at this establishment,so once again I will say this is my go-to place when I'm looking for good Mexican food. Just had chiles rellenos and it was excellent. They have a nice variety of cakes and pastries also."
"We recently ordered horchata (with other items) from here and it came to us spoiled. You could SEE IT, SMELL IT AND TASTE IT. We called the restaurant about it and they tried to tell us it was “too much cinnamon” and didn’t offer a refund or an apology. This is the second time we’ve received spoiled food from this place, the first was cheese on a quesadilla. I would be careful ordering from here until they address the quality control issues unfortunately. We love this place but will be making the drive to Port Richmond moving forward to avoid these problems and wasting money."
"Fantastic place to grab food, I've never had a single thing be less than stellar. The chorizo burrito is dope."
"If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, look no further. The tacos here take me straight back to Harlem and Corona. Tried the lengua, barbacoa, chicken, and carne enchilada tacos. All were delicious. Horchata was sweet and refreshing. In my opinion, ho brah serves more of a Cali-style trendy taco (think blackened fish) while this place is the true New Yorker Mexican food experience with tortas, chilaquiles, and the best proteins (pig ear, beef tongue, etc). Nice people as well. Also, bonus for not being stingy with their sauces (I’m looking at you, Chinelos)."
"Extremely disgusted with the upper management!! This restaurant used to be a gem on the map and it rapidly went down the drain. Upper management started to cut back on a lot of costs. Food from here is no longer fresh, some of the ingredients are spoiled but still served. And worst of all, many of the staff members have expressed feeling unsafe in this establishment. I interviewed a few of the cooks and waiters and my heart almost broke! The conditions some of these employees go through are ridiculous!! Many of the employees expressed how hard it is to work for this company. They are constantly scolded, worked to the bone, and threatened to be replaced. Some of the ex-staff have even confessed to being fired right before they were eligible for part-time or full-time benefits. Many were given lousy excuses. Unfortunately, these employees hold their tongue daily in hopes of being able to provide for their families some kind of financial stability."
