"I found Felicita on my way home on google map. I had a personal pizza with sausage & peppers. Other than the fact that the dough tasted very salty it was the best sausage & peppers pizza ever! I want to try the Tamale on weekend soon. Maybe cut back on salt in the batter mix?"
"my review is for the Mexican food only because I haven't tried their Italian menu items. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant and one of my favorite restaurants in general. the food is authentic, delicious, and well priced. the owner is also super friendly and accommodating, and while the place is small, the atmosphere is cozy and service is fast"
"Have been ordering takeout from Felicita for the past couple of weeks, and my experience here has been great. Certainly good enough that I would take the time to write this review. I would definitely reccomend this place over other restaurants in the area that offer mexican food. The place is consistently neat and clean every time I come to pick my food up. The service is good, they are friendly, and they make paying really quick and easy too. Obviously, since they make the food fresh and only make them to order, calling ahead of time would definitely benefit you. Their italian/pizza menu is definitely a lot more in depth than the mexican menu and is kind of intimidating, so I haven’t been able to try their pizzas yet. I also stalk their facebook page from time to time and was able to grab one of their conchas when they had em. It’s always a plus when a business has a social media presence and it shows that they listen to their customers. Reccomendations: (I know this looks kind of barren but I will keep adding to this as I order more food lol) Tacos(duh)—carne asada is my fave meat for tacos, but the birria tacos are definitely worth the extra $5. The consome it came with was full of flavor. Definitely had me wondering if they offer birria as an option for their tortas. Also, side note, I do wish that they offer a sample platter that has one taco of a fee different meats, though I’m not sure how viable it is business-wise, or if they already do offer that. Huarache—like the tacos, you get your choice of meat. I also was able to try their sopes, which I have to say taste very similar to each other. I’m not too sure if they fry the sopes; I think they just put it on the grill, but I would say to get the huarache instead if you want to save a few bucks. Do be aware that there’s a $10 card minimum and at the time of writing this review, huaraches are just a little bit under $10, leaving enough room for a nice cold beverage. Tamales—I believe they only sell tamales on weekends. If I remeber correctly, they had mole de pollo, verde, and puerco when I ordered. I called for one pork and one chicken, but I got 2 mole de pollo instead. Not complaining though because it was really good, especially the sauce. I think it was wrapped in a banana leaf rather than a corn husk, but it was very moist, and there as a lot of filling in proportion to the masa. Also, remember to ask for utensils if needed as well! The one torta I had was alright, but I thought it was definitely worth mentioning considering their tortas come with fries and only cost $10. Looking back it might have been my fault for getting al pastor, but I blame the bread lol. It sort of tasted weird, but ultimately, it was too much bread and threw off the balance. Next time, I might just ask for them to just press on it and grill the outside too. Overall, I do feel like it’s great value for your money, especially when looking at neighboring competition. I typically spend no more than $17 when I go here but still portions are nice and generous. I often find myself setting aside leftovers enough for a nice snack later in the day."
"I just moved to the area and saw this place right around the corner from me and when I realized they had both Mexican AND Italian food, I had to try it. Got some tacos and a pizza and they were both equally fantastic. I work in Freehold, but these tacos are easily as good as any of the steak tacos I've had in Freehold and the pizza was phenomenal. We ordered extra sauce, the pizza truly had the perfect amount of sauce, and the sauce was absolutely delicious. The hot sauce and chimichurri for the tacos were both fantastic. The pesto on the pizza was delicious. I truly don't know how this place does it all, but I will 100% be ordering as much as possible from Felicitas. Really nice people behind the counter too. I will be raving about this place to everyone I know!"
