"Taven Pies....I hadn't had since 1990. Was great. Just right amount of oil.. Mussels were great. Trying the veal next week. ☆☆☆☆UPDATE☆☆☆ Veal was not so good ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Seems like it is a family business. Met father first time there, then 2 sons this time. Not far off Rt 9, so if heading home and stuck in traffic, take Ernston road exit. Go right to the first traffic light. "I have left positive reviews before, but I just wanted to thank the staff who went out of their way tonight for me. Somehow a different address was put on my order even though I order weekly with the same order on grubhub. They went out of their way to get the food to me even when it took a lot of their time. It’s rare to find a place that actually goes above and beyond. I have ordered at least 30 times and you definitely have a customer for life and will tell everyone I know the customer service you provided tonight. Thank you!"

"Nothing compares to their tavern pie. Went to the south shore of Massachusetts. This is supposedly the home of the tavern pie. Couldn't find it's equal after sampling a few places. Always try to grab a few when we are in New Jersey. Their cauliflower pie is good too."

"Ordered online throughout slice app, Caesar salad came half of the lettuce is brown and going bad and I cut my chicken sandwich and there was a huge long black hair and I have short red hair. I complain through the app and the restaurant said that they don’t have someone that works there that fits that description so they’re gonna do nothing for me ! that now I don’t think my food is sanitary and it will not be eating any of the food. It is all going in the garbage $30 down the drain. Definitely unhappy with this restaurant! I am housesitting do not know places in the area I was recommended this restaurant! Disgusting that they will do nothing for me that it isn’t sanitary or good ! The riceball was hard and dry, as if it was two days old, very gross and very unhappy! So Dissappointed!"

"Tavern pie is the best!!! We always go there for the Tavern pie but their calzones and soups are wonderful also. The staff there are always friendly and accommodating. This time we bought two cauliflower pizzas, one white and one plain. So good. Parking is available out front but can be difficult during peak times."
