"Decent place for anything to do with your 4 wheelers. The lady at the counter is friendly and helpful in terms of explaining nitty gritty of the details. The customer lounge could be little better with some snacks, as the wait times here are usually longer."

"I've come here a few times. The prices are a little higher than surrounding mom and pop shops, but so far I have not had any issues and they give a detailed report at the end. Sometimes concerns voiced in the report are a little overly cautious; but if you are mechanically minded, educate yourself on the concerns, and know your vehicle then you should be able to make the right choices based on the report. They call when they have questions and have been responsive with me thus far."

"I went to Pep Boys on Route 1 on Tuesday 8/22/23 for an oil change. As far as I know that with an oil change they are supposed to check all the necessary fluids and rotate the tires. They did not do any of that even though I mentioned it upon my arrival. I had a 9:00 am appointment. I was told it would be an hour to a hour and a half. OK. So I wait in the waiting area. After an hour and a half I walk up to the front desk to ask if my car was ready. At that time is when I was told that they running behind schedule and/or short of help. Whatever! That's not my problem. I had an appointment. Upon my arrival, if that was the case they should have told me that and I would have gladly went and did one of the other chores that I had to do and then I would have returned in another hour or hour and a half. So they didn't start my oil change until about 10:30 am. This is totally unacceptable! Not only did they take up two and a half hours of my time, but they did not provide the complete service. I am not satisfied with this. I felt that they took advantage of me, being a woman. I still have knowledge of cars and repairs. Also, after I paid for the oil change, they told me that a whole lot more repairs were needed to the car. Needless to say, they were trying to take advantage of me, being a woman, thinking I do not have knowledge of cars. They did not rotate the tires and they did not top off the necessary fluids like they were supposed to. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! To say the least. I expect a full reimbursement. I also have notified PEP BOYS CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS AND EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS. I am waiting for someone from the Corporate Office to reply. I hope they do. But either way, the PEP BOYS OM ROUTE 1 IN NORTH BRUNSWICK WON'T EVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ME BEING A CUSTOMER AT THEIR LOCATION!!!"
