"I had a fabulous experience at Rhona's and highly recommend this boutique. After spending a few hours at a nearby shop picking out my daughter's Bat Mitzvah dress, we stopped in at Rhona's just to browse. I had not planned on buying my own dress that day, but I couldn't resist. Paula Varsalona was hosting a trunk show and I tried on a few different styles and just fell in love with a strapless high-low gown (which was the first dress I tried on). Sharon from Rhona's worked with Paula and me to pick the fabrics for the dress from all of Paula's beautiful options. We chose a vibrant purple for the body of the dress, and a stunning print for the inner liner, which was visible at the bottom because of the high-low design. We also designed a wrap - one side purple and the other side with the print - was perfect for the temple and came off for the party. Sharon was wonderful, as was the seamstress, who fitted the dress perfectly. I couldn't have been happier with the dress - still receiving compliments 6 months later -- and the experience at Rhona's! Well worth the drive from Northern New Jersey."

"The staff at Rhona's went out of their way to be helpful today. I have a black tie wedding this weekend and cannot wear the dress I originally planned to wear. They encouraged me to look through their sale dresses first. When I found a sample dress from a recent trunk show that I liked, they spoke with the designer to release the sample for me. Their seamstress was very knowledgeable and I'll have the dress by Thursday. I recommend them highly."

"Can't give it one star, but I had to because it would not accept "no star rating". ! First time there with friends, got very little attention, another customer took up both sales help. I did buy a dress that I saw and tried on earlier at The Engel Shop. When I saw the dress again, thought I'd save myself another trip up north, my mistake... They can't hold a candle to the sales staff at the Engle Shop, In Englewood, N.J. When picking up my altered dress, there was another customer that was buying the dress she had on, her and her mother took up both of the sales women's attention. As I struggled to pull up the zipper, I get a question from the other side of the room, do you need help? I got a pat on the shoulder and said this looks good on you and walked away. I had two pairs of shoes with me and stood for several minutes waiting for either sales person to look my way. Finally, I said, "Excuse me can I ask you a question"; wanted their opinion on which shoe I should consider. The seamstress who altered my dress was no where to be seen, in my past experience when you have a dress altered the seamstress is there to make sure the fit is correct, obviously not at this shop. It wasn't till I saw myself in the photos at my daughter's reception that I noticed in every photo my bra strap was showing! I moved here several years ago from NY, I was extremely surprised to see the inventory in casual and formal wear, I could have been a potential customer, but after my unpleasant experience I will never set foot in this place again. Will gladly pay someone else to sew in the lingerie straps. As I discussed this situation with my New Jersey friends, they all have the same opinion of the sales help. They told me they are known to be rude and obnoxious, they only cater to their steady customers, how do you expand your clientele if you treat your customers so badly. Remember you are the sales help, be helpful and polite; if you are not fit to deal with the patrons in a proper fashion, you are in the wrong business plus you are doing a disservice to the owner, if she cares."

"Janet Beder Arnowitz So disappointed in Rhona's Dress Shop in Manalapan, NJ. I ordered a dress and gave deposit. I left the store, on the way home thought about it and decided it wasn't right. When I arrived home I immediately called to cancel (about 3 hours later). We were told the order could not be canceled, even though the factory was on vacation the first 2 weeks in July and the order could not have been placed. When we protested to the clerk, saying that the dress was going to take seven weeks to come in, and surely nothing irrevocable had been done in 3 hours, the clerk said Rhona wasn't in until today (Wednesday) and we would have to talk to her. Speaking to Rhona turned things from bad to worse. Not only was she rude and nasty to my husband, saying "that's my policy" period and would not refund our deposit, but she didn't even offer a credit for the money they were holding. Obviously, she was only interested in the money and not keeping a customer. Shame on you Rhona! It looks like I have lost my money, but this should serve as a warning to anyone giving a deposit at Rhona's. Needless to say I will never shop at her establishment again, and I would be very wary if I were you. — with Roslyn Barreaux Brendzel and 14 others."
