"I lived here my whole life (30 years) and somehow this was my first time here. I love how dark and cozy it is, perfect winter vibes. The French onion soup is delicious. One of the best filet mignon I've ever had. I would recommend the wedge salad because the blue cheese was delicious. I would recommend it and I will be back for sure!"
"Old time feel from a staple in Staten Island. Pardon the pictures of half eaten food, I did my best to make it look presentable. From Steak to Burgers and everything in between this place is a can't miss. It's not a fancy spot and kind of gives you the feel like you're in an upscale old West saloon without the dancing girls. Anyway service was top notch, food and dessert were great. If you're in the area go for it you won't be disappointed."
"Our server Ryan was friendly and social, which was a pleasure to converse with. The ambiance is also quite warm and relaxing, with dimmed lighting to enhance the dining experience. The French onion soup was very flavorful and came with a generous amount of cheese, so definitely recommend getting one to warm you right up! The escargot was extremely disappointing. As you can see in the picture, the liquid was not butter as it usually comes with. Ryan confirmed this with the kitchen staff who informed him that it was water, garlic and pesto. We both looked dumbfounded because escargot usually comes with butter, garlic, and parsley/pesto, so the water made the entire dish very diluted and bland. For our main, I got the west shore burger where for its price, was pretty worth it since it came with a big piece of crab cake. The composition that made up the crab cake was interesting, but didn't really capture my interest. The overall dish was just mediocre, and I think maybe enhancing the sauce might complement and tie the crab cake and burger together more smoothly, for they didn't really pair together that well in my opinion. My wife got the Lobster N King Crab Legs, which came with a GENEROUS amount of meat as you can see in the pictures. Unfortunately, it might've been on the grill for too long since it was overly dry and not juicy at all, making the meat kind of tough. The lobster was also unfortunately overly charred, leaving the tough lobster meat also bitter in some areas. We really wanted to start the new year strong, but unfortunately this experience was only just decent. However, I do believe West Shore Inn Steakhouse has amazing potential to do so much better; perhaps because today was new years, the quality of the food suffered a bit. Overall, our most enjoyable experience was conversing with Ryan, who kindly empathized with the suboptimal dining experience. "Wow, that's how I feel about our meal and service. Our server Lisa was friendly, personable, and attentive. The hostess seated us straight away and was super friendly. I ordered the 24oz bone in Ribeye medium. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly with a beautiful sear. My girlfriend had the Chilean sea bass with the sauce on the side. The sear and cook on the sea bass was done perfectly, and the side of sauce was so flavorful. This is one of my new favorite go-to spots. I can't believe I have never been here before. I will definitely be back again very soon. Kudos to the chefs and servers at the West Shore Inn Steakhouse. If you have never been here, it's a must try"
"Everything here was great! The portion sizes were really big and the food was very good. Our favorite was the brussel sprouts! They were soo tasty and a little sweet which was good and unique. The chicken parm was really good as well"
